I don't like the decision at all here. I don't believe Grant is hurt, I truly believe he got bumped and I think it has everything to do with Pettis saying he could be 100% ready for Bendo later the same month that he pulled out of the fight with Aldo for. Pettis has been a total douche of late, and I kind of hope Bendo goes full black on him and rapes him for five rounds. Good fight, but Pettis doesn't deserve it.

How has he been a douche? And how can you say he doesn't deserve it?
He's been a douche with all that "I'm injured and can't fight Aldo at 145lbs on August 3rd but on August 27th I can be 100% to fight Bendo at 155lbs" shit, not to mention he just had an interview where he said he'd fight Josh Thomson in october even though "nobody knows who you are" as if Josh Thomson wasn't in the top ten when Pettis was still in highschool and just became the first guy to knock Nate Diaz out. He doesn't deserve it because he challenged another champion in another weight class, not the other way around. We've seen guys lose title shots for being injured and pulling out 2-3 months ahead of time.

Yeah, it's not just Pettis. Dana was all like "THERE IS NO FUCKING WAY PETTIS WILL BE READY ON AUGUST 31ST. HIS THERAPIST SAID HE COULD, BUT NOT THE AWESOME UFC DOCTOR!!".
And then Milwaukee didn't sell shit for tickets and combine that with Bendo's last PPV only selling 150k or so buys (from what I read last night)...Dana was like "fuck that we need to make some more money".
At a pick 'em or + dogs Bendo is definitely the play in my opinion. Bendo has been active and has improved significantly since WEC 53 while Pettis has had to pull out to MULTIPLE fights and was on the shelf multiple times due to injuryies/rehab/etc. Pettis had fought 4x and Bendo 7x since WEC 53.
I think his injury was one that heals in a couple of weeks so it makes sense. Grants out, pettis is in. Its reasonable for pettis to not want a fight with thomson, he really isnt that famous. He is a very good fighter and a worthy opponent. I do agree that pettis is kind of a dick for knocking thomson. Though you could say he is just saying it like it is.
