Based on the police report (http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2014/2/7/...report-gun-ufc), it sounds like Thiago and his wife had been separated for a year, and that he had a girlfriend and she was dating Popovich. Maybe he knew they were divorcing and this latest incident was more about property than jealousy. The one thing he said to reporters was "She wants my house, she wants my money."

Supposedly he sent his wife a text saying, "I am gonna fuck you up and you are going to die. I am going to hire someone to kill you and I am gonna move my girlfriend in." – for which I deduct from him 5 psycho-badass points for not even doing your own killing. You're a crazy violent fucker with a bunch of guns; you shouldn't have to farm that shit out.

Apparently it was Pablo Popovitch, which is disappointing to me because I kind of liked Popovitch. He is a very good grappler, way better than Silva (though a lot smaller and not an MMA fighter so would undoubtedly get his ass kicked by Silva). Popovitch is the guy that tapped Ben Askren out at ADCC in like 20 seconds. I really thought Popovitch was a smarter guy than to be going after the same tail as a psycho like Silva... you know that bitch is nuts if she married Silva.

Anyway, I hope Silva goes to prison, Popovitch goes out of business (way too much of this stuff happening at BJJ gyms), and his wife gets an STD.
