LOL I went 3-2.

I woke up at like 4 am and turned it on, watched Gono and Manhoef win in a row.

You should've won too. I refuse to believe Minowa legit KOd Sokoudjou. I will never ever believe it.

Hindsight I probably shouldn't have bet against Aoki. He's a great fighter, but I just can't ever get this out of my head.

Sok was a fix. Pretty sure all of Minowa's wins were fixes. Look at the leg lock on Sapp, its not even in.

I took a 5U loss... it happens.

Ok so I finally watched the Soko/Minowa fight.

It wasn't a fix, Sokoudjou just isn't that good.

However, it was HORRIBLE HORRIBLE stoppage.

The first round was Sokoudjou easy, he landed some good ground and pound that I'm actually surprised Minowa took. He's definitely tougher than I thought. The second round was like the first but a bit slower and closer. Minowa nearly had him in a kneebar at the end of the round.

The 3rd round was the worst round ever. They spent 3 minutes standing and staring at each other. They were warned for inactivity, then they still stared at each other, then they were given a yellow card, still nothing, another yellow card. Finally they engage and Minowa lands a very nice left hook right on Sokoudjou's chin and he falls to his knees and puts his hands up, and the fight is immediately stopped. He never went out and didn't even look to be hurt at all.

So I don't think the fight was fixed, but I could definitely see favoritism at work here. I seriously doubt Minowa was going to finish him and he was well on his way to losing a decision. The fight was much closer than I expected, regardless. Sokoudjou was very tentative throughout.

I should have known not to bet on Sokodjou... but Minowa has never impressed me ever, and I just could not see how he could win the fight. There were a bunch of early stoppages on the card. I think the judges would have screwed Sokodjou anyway. I am over it now.
