I actually got into a pretty detailed discussion about this when I was working on the commissioner article.

Pretty sure in MMA 10-7 is it, and they all said that the reason we never see them is because if a fight is scored 10-7 then it's a fight that should've been stopped.

Thats cool I didnt know I was just guessing it was the same as boxing . I've seen 10-6 rounds in boxing before but thats the lowest

It's absolutely legal. So is a 10-10, which a lot of people don't understand.

Bearing in mind that every state commission pretty much has their own rules, I'm positive I've read some sets of modern MMA rules where 10-10 rounds are clearly not allowed.

They talked about that and said that, in boxing, a fighter loses a point every time he's knocked down.

But MMA is a different sport and requires different scoring.

If they follow the Unified rules, I am pretty sure that 10-10s are always allowed. How else do you score an even round? What are you supposed to do?

I could be off on this, but don't the unified rules now state that 12-6 elbows are legal and LHW goes up to 220? I'm not sure any state commission is following them directly.
