      Re: Evans-Rampage UFC 114

I have decided to just stick to the plan and write off my recent swing as negative variance like a man. No need to change my money management style.

But then I need to tighten up. I am actually glad to have a week off this week...

I think I am going to take a break from betting anything over -250. I am not laying more than 2.5 to 1 for a while. When I broke down my bets, I am winning just as much in the -200 range as the -400.

been trying to do that myslef more and more. I just look at it like you lose 4 bets at -110 which is hard to do imo its the same as losing one at -400

I just went back and broke down all my plays from 3/9/10. At that point I was up about 20u. Now, 3 months later, it is really not as bad as I thought, I have only lost 2 or 3u in the last few months. I think that this can definately be attributed to variance.

That said, if I had only bet on fights -250 or less, I would have gained 10u over that same period. The last time I updated in March 2010, the same thing was true then, instead of being up 20u, I would have been up like 30u, with less risk.

So I am going to try that for a while.

I think you just have to be very picky when it comes to the favorites, especially the big ones.
