I guess i just don't care, because I used to be house counsel for a regulated utility, and I still bet online all the time there too. In fact, I used to play poker on their computers.
But then again, I have never had a job I cared about losing.
Howard seriously has not impressed me. He barely eeked out a win against the Barn Cat and from I hear he was soundly losing against Hallman before the freak KO that cost me my .5u.
He did look good knocking out Daniel Roberts, but . . . oh, wait. Who? Yeah, exactly.
I don't think Howard really has much of a hype train right now, but Ellenberger is gonna put a stop to his plain ol' regular train.
Been watching videos and stuff, Howard/Ellenberger is going to be way closer then I thought. This fight has fireworks written all over it.
I've seen most of Howard's recent fights--both UFC and otherwise--and I have seen nothing to suggest that he has anything for Ellenberger, except for a hard right hand.
If Howard wins, I think it's going to HAVE to be by another come-from-behind KO like against Hallman.

Have you seen the Dan Miller/John Howard fight? I can't find it online, but i read that it was close. I think that fight is very relevant as Miller is the only wrestler I see that Howard has fought. Ellenberger has better hands and takedowns than Miller, but I don't know that his submission defense or submission threat is as good as Miller's.

I think that fight is the key.
I haven't seen it, so I can't say. One thing to keep in mind though is that that was 3 years ago and so it's hard to know if Dan Miller was the same fighter then that he is today. (Howard too, for that matter.)
Personally, I think that Ellenberger wins because, while he doesn't pose the same submission threat as Miller, he possess a much greater striking threat, both in terms of striking on the feet and GnP. I could see Ellenberger (T)KOing Howard due to a strike landed in the stand up, as well as a (T)KO similar to what we saw him do against Mike Pyle.
The thing I see about this fight is that Howard isn't a slouch in the TD department either. He gets back to his feet most of the time, and even pulls off some nice reversals/sweeps. In the Condit fight, Ellenberger got reckless a few times and it cost him some good positions/opportunities. I think this fight is going to be close with the edge going to Ellenberger.
Howard will likely have problems with Ellenbergers size. I keep saying Howard is small for the division and it's going to catch up with him eventually, this might be that "eventually"

He is. He's only 5'7". Really he looks like a LW who chooses not to cut weight.
I think this may very well be the "eventually." It was going to be Rumble, but this should work, too.
