I actually got an N64, but like the GameCube I picked it up at the very end of its lifecycle for cheap. I remember one game that wasn't really a great game, but it entertained me and was the closest you were going to get to Metal Gear on the system.
I really preferred the real thing, though:
And I literally spend about two straight weeks playing this:

I have not played a video game for more than 15 minutes since junior high. I don't get the craze.
SPX, I would probably be pretty boring. You would probably see a lot of wrestling. I would pass guard though. But, when I get tired even in grappling comp, I let guys reguard me so I dont have to scramble. I would be boring as hell. My bjj game is about control, it is not flashy. I would be like Jake Shields (not in skill, in style). I think I hit harder than Jake though.

I used to play a decent bit. It was never an all the time thing, but I'd usually get a game, get REALLY into it for a couple of weeks, and then not touch the system again for a few months.
I bought a Wii and tried to get into it, but I just didn't. I'd like to get a PS3, but not sure if it would become a $400 paperweight or not.

Yeah, that's the impression I've gotten from other things you've said.

I've got a PS3 that I'm caretaking. My friend gave it to me before going to Korea.
I have a few games but rarely play them. Mostly it's used as my bluray player, and to stream movies and tv shows and whatnot from my computer. Which it does brilliantly.
I've got a Wii too that collects dust very impressively.

I have very limited flexibility. I do a lot of omoplatas and armbars from guard, but mostly my guard game is about sweeping and getting back on top. I use a submission attempts to set up the sweep. I have never had my guard passed in competition.
Rubber guard doesn't have any application in grappling competition... so no.

I busted my ass to get my son BOTH of those systems. he used them probably a total of 10 times between them.

The PS3 is actually useful. If you've still got it, just take it from him and at least use it to watch bluray.
Maybe you should just sell them both on ebay. And your son too.
