They have a ton of great movies, and The Big Lebowski is one of the greatest movies of all time.

It's a great film--John Turturro in particular cracks my ass up--but I don't think it's their best. I think that Fargo is an incredible film that's at the top of their list and will never be topped. For some reason, I can ALWAYS watch that film and get into it. It's a great movie.

Pretty much everything they do is at least "good" if not great.

Watched Blood Simple tonight for the first time. It was an interesting experience. Even back in '84 their style was pretty apparent.

Honestly I've never seen Fargo. I've always meant to watch it and I even had the DVD for awhile, just never got around to it.

But yeah, most of their movies are at least good. No Country for Old Men was fucking epic. Big Lebowski may not be their "best" per se, but it fucking cracks me up so much. I swear it gets funnier every time I watch it. Everything about it is just comedy gold.

^^^ You should download Fargo and watch it immediately. It's easily my favorite, although that admittedly might have something to do with the fact that I lived in Minnesota for a little while.

Shit, now I'm thinking about popping it in and watching it right now.

The "Coen Brothers" is not a random name. They are among the premiere filmmakers in Hollywood. Fargo, The Big Lebowski, Raising Arizona, No Country for Old Men, O' Brother Where Art Thou. . . They made these films.

Now that my kid is playing High School Football (which is a small miracle..LOL) I been looking at the competition. I came across this kid, Desmond Peoples. This kid is amazing. These highlights are from his 10th grade year. He is a junior now.

Over this passed weekend, he had 8 carries for 253 yards and 5 touchdowns. That is fuckin video game shit right there. And he still has his senior season next year.

Word is, the kid is already getting paid. He is now at his 3rd high school in 3 years. I been out of the loop as far as how high school football is now a days, (I last played in 1995) but its so different now. These kids get tuition scholarships, the schools are recruiting kids now, its fuckin crazy.
