Judges should just realize that the guy on top is not necessarily winning. They need to score the takedown and the grappling separately. Being on top stalling = other guy is winning. Just take away the incentive to stall by scoring it correctly. More educated judges would solve the problem.

I agree. It's a fight. I think damage > control.

We'd have to give up on our plan to win big on LnP wrestlers, though.

I think we define LNP differently. Mendez was doing some LNP. But you have to give a guy a little time to make his move. Most of the time, I don't really see that mcu true LNP going on.

Like Chael/Silva or Kos/Daley- that wasn't LNP. That was fighting from top position.
