70 Year Old MMA Fighter Steps into the Cage to "feel alive"

Too long to paste, but here:

    http://www.mmafighting.com/2010/07/29/7 ... to-feel-al

Pretty interesting article. This guy's got balls and seems like he's been one of those rough-and-tumble types all of his life.

Looks like one of those WWF foam toy belts they used to sell when we were kids.

I'm wondering what's up with those 13 hours of judo throws he did to get that world record.

Seems you'd have to be in exceptional shape to pull that off. I'd be tired after about 13 minutes.

On the flip side, if this dude gets fucked up bad, the MMA bashers will have a field day with this.

The way I see it is that it was his choice. According to the article they tested him physically six ways to Sunday so if he can pass all the tests his age shouldn't matter.

That shit ain't nuttin' but a number.

I dont think it would be a big deal. People think its ok for Holyfield to keep fighting and he's twice this guys age

I don't give a fuck what the MMA bashers say. Give me stomps, soccer kicks, knees on the ground, headbutting, old dudes fighting. I want it all.

                      LOL

                      Word.

Sometimes I wish there were regular MMA fights, following the unified rules, and then occasionally "UFC 1" rules fights that promotions would put on from time to time.

Go to Alabama and you can probably pull that off.

I'm OK with most of the safety rules, but I wish there were more fights where we could see mixing up of fighters by ability / sex / size / age. I mean, if the purpose of weight classes was to segregate fighters by size-implied-ability and give everyone a chance to fight, why should 600 pound guys be grouped in with the dangerous 240-pounders? If anything, their size-danger-class is sub-middleweight.

I've always question why there is a 135,145,155,170,185,and 205 classes but after that the range is 206-265. IMO thats just stupid .If you going to have a weight class every 10-15 pounds then why stop at 205? Having a 210-220 pound Courture fight a 265 pound Lesnar is like having Edgar fight Shogun
