I guess if they are paying out 30 to 1 for the draw the money has to come from somewhere. I usually bet my fights at matchbook and have been for over a year and they dont even have a draw option so I know its a push there

I've always known of a draw in MMA being a push. I've never heard otherwise. So yeah, that's incredibly fucked up.

When Kongo/Browne was a draw, I got my money back on Kongo from 5dimes. It must just be a boxing thing.

I use sports.com, they're not very good for MMA/boxing but I use them for other sports so it is what it is. My Hopkins by decision bet was refunded.

Your shit BY DECISION was refunded?

Sportsbook definitely took that shit in a heartbeat for me.

When Kongo/Browne was a draw, I got my money back on Kongo from 5dimes. It must just be a boxing thing.

They told me if a draw option is available to bet and its a draw both sides lose . If you look on 5dimes right now only 1 of the 3 boxing fights with odds are offering a draw option and only 1 fight (Maynard-Edgar) of the 10+ MMA fights is offering a draw option so more than likely the Kongo-Browne fight didnt have a draw option to bet. It looks like only big fights have one

Nah I had a draw option, 30:1. But I went with a straight bet on Hopkins, not a Decision or KO.

Then maybe the person at 5dimes that answered the phone when I called had no clue what they were talking about. I always thought a draw was a push too. I would like to know 100% what the answer is though

That is some fucked up shit if it is true.

Its true I talked to them myself .Someone told me all bets on both sides were graded as losses and I didnt believe him so I called. That means sportsbooks ,at least 5dimes pray for draw. They clean up when it happens

Just another example of why I do not use 5Dimes. That is bullshit. The Draw bet SHOULD not matter. They will take ALL the losses on the draw option if either fighter wins. A draw is a push in Vegas ALWAYS. 5Dimes is a great betting site for options. But they will SCREW you when they get the chance.

No Luke, i think this is a 5Dimes thing. I have had refunds on numerous other fights where a draw was also an option.

As for the Draw money coming from somewhere...it goes in their pockets(the books) most of the time, because draws happen so infrequently.

Yes my straight 1.25 unit bet was refunded. I use sports.com, mostly because I bet college and pro football, which they're good with. They're not very good on MMA/Boxing (weak odds, lack of props, parlays, etc.)

I bet most of my fights on Matchbook and they dont even have a draw option. I'll have to be careful betting at 5dimes from now on .If I think its going to be close I'll have to sprinkle a little on the draw.


On another note did anyone expect that fight to be entertaining? I expected another boring Hopkins fight .

Damn Luke, I feel for you. So Five dimes is just going to collect on ALL the straight bets and KO and decision props for this fight. Fuckin priceless. I can gaurantee you they collected more decision and KO props than they had to pay out in Draw bets...YET, they will still collect on the straight bets.

Just imagine if you had big money on either guy straight up.
