I got Faber again. Cruz looked good out there, but at some point he is going to get flattened with his chin up in the air and his hands down. Benevidez was getting some licks in, I think Faber can hold his own striking.
I'll probably take whoever is the underdog. Really seems like this one could go either way to me.
Ben Henderson still accepts Jesus Christ as his lord and savior guys, just letting you know.
LOL
I caught that shit, too. He was like, "You know what? This Christianity shit? I'm gonna keep doing it. But if Jesus let's this shit happen again we're gonna have to talk."

I dont know Faber hasnt really looked very good lately.

I'm not sure this is entirely fair. Hasn't looked very good against who? Mike Brown and Aldo?
He subbed both Assuncao and Mizugaki, and we really don't know how the second Brown fight would've gone if he hadn't broken his hands.
With that said, it's been a while since I watched his first fight with Cruz but some people were saying today on Sherdog that Cruz was outstriking him before the guillotine.

Wonder what the odds would be ?
On one hand, you have Cruz, who is the champ and has been looking awesome. On the other, Faber is Faber and he has that mystique. He also is the only person to ever have beaten Cruz.
I wouldn't be surprised if they both open at -115.
Stylistically, yeah... it should be tough for Faber. But I guess I never really watched Cruz that closely (because I never bet on him before). I just don't trust his striking style... he is like Jardine, he is unorthodox, but I think someone is going to lay him out and soon.

Could be. Just remember that he has never been "layed out" in 18 fights.
I was also thinking Cruz's style might lead to him getting knocked out but I guess he is doing well so far. I would not be suprised to see him stop Fabers takedowns and outstrike him. I am sure Faber would be the favorite as well.
I personally love Cruz's style. And IMO he is nothing like Jardine. Jardine has massive wasted movement, while Cruz is movement is always made for a purpose. His headmovement is the best though. For as much that is made about his footwork, he slips punches with head movement very well.
He was also hit pretty clean by both Brown and Joe if I remember right...so I am pretty sure he has a decent chin.
And his takedowns are off the chart. I think he beats Faber almost as easily as he beat Scotty.
I think he will have a size advantage on Faber also. I also read an interview where he said he was training himself for the Faber fight(if I remember correctly) and after that loss he joined a camp.
