I don't see why Miller has better subs. He is a BB and has only been subbed once since 1999 and it was Almeida.

Miller may or may not have better subs, but in terms of percentages, far more of Miller's wins have come by sub. If Dan Miller has won a fight, then it's highly likely that he choked a motherfucker out. That's not the case with Marquardt. He has far more (T)KO wins in the UFC than he has sub wins.

BTW I watched a video on Cro Cop, his video blog. One of his training partners claimed it was the most fired up he has ever seen Mirko. It could be bullshit. He looked to be in good shape. If he looks real good at the weighs I will bet another Unit on him.

I'll probably throw a lot more on Marquardt if the line improves. I really think he is better than Dan Miller in all areas. Better BJJ, much more powerful striking and he is a good wrestler. I say that because he actually did ok grappling with Okami for a while. He should be bigger as well. Dan doesn't really have much power in his punches.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly, though I do think that Miller might have better subs. So that's my fear: Miller catches Marquardt in a sub. But other than that, I think Marquardt wins, and fairly easily, too.

Yea, I think it has a better chance of ending inside the distance. But you can find round props like this all the time in Boxing. And I have just seen so many of them go against the common opinion.

What if Jones kicks the crap out of Rua for 3 rounds, then begins to tire. So he just takes him down the last 2 rounds and smothers him. Not saying that is the way I see it happening. But I do not think it is a far out prediction.

The problem with that is Shoguns takedown defense is not very good and Jones has the best takedowns+GNP at light heavyweight. He breaks peoples faces. If Shogun is on his back he will be taking a lot of that. I hear what your saying though, he is very tough but how much can he humanely take? He could get subbed by JJ too..On the flip side of that coin Shogun has amazing striking and good BJJ. He can end it at any time.

I don't know how much damage he will take. He may be on his back, but I don't think he will eat too many shots (until he gasses).
