A friend of a friend recently got arrested for videotaping the cops (and not going away when they told her to). It became a huge deal with national attention when her friends posted the video to YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40pf26zbvoQ)

Later, the police heard about a meeting of her supporters, so they made sure to go out and hand out curb-violation tickets to all the parked cars in the area. (http://www.setyoufreenews.com/2011/0...-out-curb.html)

Fortunately, they just announced yesterday that the charges against her would be dropped (http://www.whec.com/news/stories/s2174896.shtml). She's still considering civil action, I think.

because you have to be a douche to do that job. They are all douchebags. It is one thing to do a stint when you get out of school, but the guys that hang around for 20 years are pathetic fuckwads that all have cop syndrome without the brawn to back it up. It is one thing if you are the actual elected guy, but these other guys... pfft. It pays nothing, I don't understand why they do it.

I read that story when it happened... cops always act first, think later. The shitty thing is that the judges are to blame because they keep letting them get away with it. Our justice system peaked in the 50's back when judges had balls. Now they are just shills for the cops...

A prosuctor starts between $30-40K in most places. In larger cities, maybe 50k. But in Indiana, the elected guy only makes $118k. That is the same in every county. The deputies max out at like $80k. So you have these guys that have been in there 20 years doing the same job, then some 31 year old kid with no prosecuting experience runs for office and becomes their new boss. But now 20 years have passed and they don't kow how to be lawyers, because they have only been prosecutors, so their value in the market is about the same a kid right out of school, plus they have burned all their bridges with the guys that can give them jobs (defense attorneys). It is a dead end job for attorneys. It is for bitches and stay at home moms coming back out to the work force.

Ron Paul debuted a quick fix for reducing the debt by at least $1.6 trillion in one shot. Chatting with Iowa radio host Jan Mickelson yesterday, Rep. Paul recommended the U.S. “declare bankruptcy” and reduce the national debt by dismantling the Federal Reserve, to which we owe upwards of a trillion dollars.

1. From what I understand about the federal reserve, I agree that the whole thing is bullshit. Fuck them.

2. As for the country turning into complete shit, I know it fashionable to say this, but if you look at the overall history of America it's easy to say that it's a nation that's constantly improving.
