"asshole" rankings are defined by the ratio of personal insults, mean spirited posts and general trolling to the non-offensive and contributing posts. For example, poopoo trolls a lot, but is generally not very mean spirited, this his relatively low asshole rank.
I am sure I forgot someone. Those are the most regular posters that I can recall off the top of my head in descending asshole order. SPX would be #1, but since he is bipolar, he has moments of kindness and humility mixed in with his frequent assholing. Also, I think somme of SPX's assholing is "anti-bullying" and trying to clean up the board a little, so I moved him down a notch.

*Note: Just because I think you are an asshole, doesn't mean I don't like you. I have defended zY several times behind the scenes, so even though he is #1 asshole, I still generally enjoy his mean spirited humor.

Well, as always, zY had to turn it into a personal attack, as is his M.O.

Also, from what I understand, one of those guys (I think timbob) drives a church bus for sports teams, so a comment about wanting LSU's bus to crash and, presumably, kill everyone aboard, was destined to not go over well.

With that said, like I mentioned before, I think the main thing is that they just don't know zY and are not used to his shit. They think of IWS as the forum where shit like that is just not allowed to go on, but I think this is probably just another illustration of the difference between the mentality on the MMA board and the mentality throughout the rest of the forum.

In all seriousness, I like everyone here. I have a somewhat mean sprited sense of humor and the way my real life friends are, we just break balls all the time... it doesn't bother me at all. The only things that annoy me are people who come in and insult guys that have been in the game and then offer nothing in return. Basically, if you are going to post... contribute. If you are going to insult someone's plays, have the balls to post your plays win or lose. We are all here to make money and beat the books. I like to engage in general BS along the way and since there has been a small team here, we have gotten comfortable with each other along the way.

zY will sometimes go off half cocked, but he generally doesn't weigh in on the bets because he doesn't post his (I can only assume, because he is ashamed). He does insult everyone, but I don't find it particularly offensive, I generally think he is just busting balls. And at least he is clever most of the time... if you are going to insult someone, at least word it so I get to laugh about it.

Also some weight has to be given to Redhott's bitch-made sensibilities. He perceives things as being more personal and attack oriented as they are. I had a run in with him on the NFL board where one guy would post a "play of the year right here!!!" thread about once a week. After a while of this I asked just how many play of the year's could there be. Redhott deleted My post, and when I asked what happened he got pissy and told Me if I don't like the subject matter of someone else's thread to not bother reading it/posting in it. I don't think I've been back to the NFL board since other than to post My plays there on Zak's trackers.

Though without seeing the log of all this I can't say for sure if any comments were or weren't over the top. Knowing zY things probably escalated pretty quickly though. He has that way about him. Asshole.
