I think the untold story here is the effect that this is going to have on the Bantamweight division. I mean, it's already somewhat thin.Leave a comment:

There are definitely 15 to 20 guys. They'll need to take the best fighters from Tachi and Shooto, and then have a few BWs drop down.Leave a comment:

Well if there aren't at least 15-20 guys it's not really a division at all more than it is a top 10 list that says "fuck Tachi Palace".Leave a comment:

I just hope they don't take fights away from the normal sized people to make room for these 125 pound freaks.Leave a comment:

15-20 fighters. An interesting figure.
I've been wondering how many guys the UFC is going to bring in initially to kick off the flyweight division. I think there has to at least be 20.Leave a comment:

Well we had 43 events between the UFC and Strikeforce this year alone. 27 UFC events and 16 Strikeforce. If a whole new division is added thats another 15-20 fighters which allows for more fights per month(and maybe more free fights).
With a whole new division I could see 8 more UFC shows this year, especially Fight Night and UFC on FX/Fox shows.Leave a comment:

We had MMA more than 35 weeks in 2011, I think. I am hoping Bellator on Spike will raise its profile a bit and give us a few more events from them.Leave a comment:

I think it looks interesting. I like Viggo and Michael Fassbender is proving himself to be quite the actor. There are probably some other movies in line ahead of it when it comes to going to the theater, but I'm sure I'll catch it after it comes out on DVD.What have you heard about "A Dangerous Method"? It looks pretty damn intriguing to me. I personally think Freud is pretty much a quack, but I find psychology pretty interesting, even though I don't really delve too deep into it (mainly because I think it is mostly bullshit).Leave a comment:

Well after Flyweights get introduced we should be able to get UFC events about 35 weeks out of next year, a few Strikeforce events or so.Yes, it has been a rough 3 weeks with no major MMA. I am ready for Friday for sure. I pretty much expect MMA every week now. And since I have been injured and unable to train myself, it has made it even worse, because I can't even watch some MMA on tv.

It's been a while for sure. Gonna be just shy of three weeks when 141 rolls out. But yeah it feels like a while probably because there hasn't been anything for the last week and a half and Strikeforce was a little less than memorable for the most part.Leave a comment:

By the way, is it just me or does it seem like it's been fucking forever since some UFC shit was last on? I am so goddamn ready for this weekend.Leave a comment:

I agree that it was a bit long and not all that some critics are making it out to be, but I thought it was still a solid entry into the franchise. In my opinion is started off very strong (the first 20 minutes) and then the rest of the movie couldn't live up to the beginning.Leave a comment:
