Took my daughter to see the Muppets movie. Before the showing they gave the audience a questionaire to fill out with a pencil. This was very dangerous because half way through the movie I was very tempted to gouge my eyes out with the pencil I was given.Comment

The entire series is actually pretty good IMO. She should check out the first ones though before hand. If you want, next time she is over, I can show them to her for you.

That's for doing the reverse punch. In modern karate, a lot of practitioners don't really do it. They'll do it in the katas or whatever, but when it comes to actual sparring they rely more on boxing-style punching. Some fighters are able to make it work though and I'm always impressed when I see people doing actual karate when they fight. Machida actually does a sort of reverse punch when he punches, he just doesn't quite come all the way from the hip.
Personally, I've thrown both types of punches--boxing-style and karate/TKD style. What I can say is that reverse punches are very powerful. They may cause some issues when it comes to defense (because of having one of your hands at your hip) or speed (because of the extra motion), but they're strong and explosive. If I was going to do a board breaking exercise or something along those lines, I'd go with the reverse punch.
Watch these. . .
I agree.
BTW, speaking of Karate, I might be going to check out a school within the next week or so. Hopefully it won't be gay.I heart cockComment

I've seen both. The Ides of March was pretty good, but J. Edgar wasn't all that I hoped it would be. With DiCaprio and Eastwood teaming up for the first time, and with such epic subject matter, I was just hoping for more.I heart cockComment
