    Strikeforce Challengers 1/7/11

    Tyron Woodley vs. Tarec Saffiedine
    Daniel Cormier vs. Devin Cole
Ovince St. Preux vs. Ron Humphrey
    Amanda Nunes vs. Julia Budd
    Nate Moore vs. Nathan Coy
    Rhadi Ferguson vs. Ion Cherdivara

In the spirit of making 2011 a winning year for all, thought would get started early. No lines yet.

Woodley has been impressive (-200 is my line). Cormier is an absolute lock until he fights a top 10 guy (-1500 is my line). If they give a line n Rhadi, bet Rhadi- he is a judo stud that translated his judo really well to submission grappling. He is world class. (-400 is my line)

OSP and Humphrey should be interesting. But it is kind of hard to predict because they both have shit gas tanks.

I think Cormier may lose. I actually think he has a chance of getting straight up raped:

On June 14, 2008, Cole was arrested by the Medford, Oregon police department and charged with first-degree rape, two counts of first-degree sodomy and two counts of first-degree sexual penetration. The charged were later reduced to assault in the fourth degree and sexual harassment, to which Cole plead guilty. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail.[

^ lol. I know, I bet on Cole hoping he would prison rape Aaron Rosa last year.

Seriously it is a wrestler/wrestler matchup. And one of them is Cormier.

Depending on the lines I might make a Ferguson/Cormier parlay

Did not realize Cherdivara was supposed to be some kind of bad ass. Figured it was a walk over match for Ferguson. I probably won't bet that fight unless Ferguson comes in as an underdog.

Moldova wrestling is not exactly like being a USA national team member, but it is not terrible either- more impressive than Babalu being on the Brazilian national wrestling team for example.

Interesting fight, but tough to bet on a favorite.

Yeah I will be staying away. I will probably be on Woodley. It seems like he should be able to get the double on this guy pretty easy but I don't know much about him. I bet on Brock Larson when he fought him and watched the fight as well. He beat Larson in that which is a legit win but Larson looked like shit. I remember him gassing early in the fight. Tyron is a whole other level of wrestling obv. I don't see why he can't take him down.

Do you know anything about T. S.'s grappling? Is it otherworldy or anything? I don't think it is but I haven't really tried to research it.

Woodley is usually a big favorite, hopefully the bookies will really value Saff's win over the Brock Larson. I have a feeling it won't mean much though, but it could. He was in the UFC for a while.

Here is what we (including you) said about Tarec before the Larson fight: http://www.investwithsports.com/newf...ighlight=tarec

Bottom line, I think Woodley can get the takedown, and Tarec doesn't have anything for Woodley on the ground.

"he did stuff Nate Moore several times and Moore is a D1 wrester. But that was after he wobbled Moore with a punch and Moore was just desperation shooting."

Same thing happened in the Larson fight IIRC. Larson got tagged early and looked like complete shit after that.

Woodley has a lot of hype right now so I think the line will suck.

Brock Larson went from getting -600 lines and shit to being unable to buy a win in the blink of a eye.

Not sure what happened to that motherfucker.

According to wiki Sarec started training in wrestling after moving to the united states. He is only 24 now so I would think he hasn't been wrestling very long. He did some kind of karate that had judo in it back in Belgium.

Here are a couple of Saffiedine interviews:

I also put up videos from both fighters in the video thread.
