I don't think that Captain America is nearly as popular as the X-Men, and Green Lantern, while not being an overwhelmingly popular Superhero, had Ryan Reynolds. I also think that the public is going to have to tire of superhero movies soon.

I think it will be one of the two for sure. Just depends on how much Captain America love and anticipation is out there.

Thor opened at $65 million and was at the front end of the Thor-Xmen-Green Lantern-Captain America wave.

So there has been a steady decline in revenue from one comic book movie to the next. If the trend continues then Captain America should come in at under $50 million. But that $51 to $60 million mark seems to be the sweet spot for superhero movies, so maybe that's a better bet.
