Me too. Vlad is no joke. In 31 fights he has 5 losses . . . 5 . . . and they're not even all bunched together in his recent UFC fights.

Gustaffson has looked good but his best win is Diabate in a fight that was very stylistically favorable for him.

I would probably take Vlad as any kind of a dog.

I agree SPX. But IMO Gus is a true prospect. His striking really is pretty damn good, and his wrestling really seems to be getting better. Personally, I would not bet him past about -150 or so.

gustaffson-vladdy is tough to call IMO. There is nothing that can happen in that fight that would suprise me.

I believe Gustafsson will be able to outstrike Vladdy, and will be able to avoid any significant top control by Vladdy as well. Gustafsson was stuffing Phil Davis pretty well until he finally did get taken down. IIRC, Gustafsson made a ridiculous mental error against Phil Davis and actually tried to take Davis down and ended up on his back before getting subbed. Now Gustafsson is training with Phil Davis and his crew, so I think Gustafsson's wrestling/grappling will be improving at a steady rate.
