there's a few short fights of him on utube, and his fight on tuf and the nick catone fight. He was winning the tuf fight b4 he tossed the guy down and landed himself in an armbar position lol. the catone fight didnt really show much. catone didnt want to stand with him and beat him with wrestling. Joe Rogan mentioned that Phillipou came to the US to be a boxer and then chose mma instead. His boxing rec is 3-0 against bums lol.

thats probably not a bad bet. I got him straight up at +350 or so. Maybe I should have waited for the dec prop. Regardless, I will probably lose my bet.

Hamil is the best bet on the card though. +170 and he should be a -200 or more favorite.

I don't see why you think that Hamill will win that fight.

I put a small bet on Hamill @+200. Gustafsson will probably blast him though. The wrestler value was there for me so I bet it.

his takedown defense is not stellar. His Bjj is average, below average? Basically he is a good standup fighter, maybe more of a boxer. Hamil should be able to take him down fairly consistently. I doubt he will submit Hamil. He could, maybe. Other than that he basically has to knock Hamil out standing. I don't see why that is really likely to happen..

How many times have you seen Gus. get taken down? Besides the time Huna took him down. Which seemed like almost a surprise type takedown.

Franklin is way more exp than Gustaffson. Hamil was also much less experienced at th time he fought Franklin. Gust was taken down by Te Huna, a guy is not a wrestler. He is just really big and strong. Phil Davis took Gus down and submitted him in the first round. Gust is European, so I really don't think he has any wrestling experience. Hamil is a big strong american wrestler. He should have the clear takedown advantage.

Is that the way it went down. I thought Gus. actually took Davis down and then got submitted.

It was an actual serious question. Because if you have seen him taken down a bunch of times I would love to know where. I was under the impression from everything I have seen that he seems pretty hard to take down.

^^Davis didn't take Gustafsson down. Gustafsson was stuffing Davis against the fence, and Gustafsson went for a TD of his own, ended up on his back, and got subbed.
