    Promotions remain separate so long as the Strikeforce contracts with Showtime are in place. That was the big hurdle. Was crossed recently
    Diaz is still under contract with Strikeforce/showtime thats why he was allowed to box if he wanted to

    Probably.

    It's kinda sorta fits the criteria too, with two dominant champs in different weight classes facing each other.

    But the problem is that it's always been obvious BJ wants to be a welterweight, and had competed in that weight class many times, and MOST importantly . . . they had fought before.
