Is Hughes even taking this shit serious anymore? I know he is training with Pat and BJ. But God, he sounds like he has already decided to basically leave the sport. What are the chances as soon as he gets hit, he says F it and just gives up. He just does not seem like he is in the frame of mind to take a beating. I think mentally he already believes he will lose this fight.I heart cockComment

And actually, Hughes has done that standing 1 time out of 50+ fights which makes 3% actually a high number.
I say parlay KOS with another fighter...maybe Rothwell.Comment

Hughes is going to lose. Does anyone think he can make it to the final bell? Thinking about Kos inside the distance. The more I think about it, the more I feel that poor Hughes is going to get humiliated.2012: +19.33

I think Hughes will get beat as well. I also had the same feeling about Gomi. Now that I really weigh it though, I won't bet on him. Nate can outstrike him or submit him. Gomi basically has to play it perfectly for 3 rounds and outwork Nate. I can't see that happenining. Broughton beating Travis Browne..maybe. I don't know much about Broughton though. He did beat Neil Grove though. He kinda reminds me of Browne. I can't really rationalize a bet on him though. Browne is really huge and seems fairly decent.
JJ/QJ - No bet. QJ could catch JJ with something and KO him. JJ's line is shit.
Rothwell/Hunt - Rothwell should have the advantage but Hunt has very good striking and a lot of power. Rothwells line isn't worth it. Also I think Hunts takedown defense is underrated. Rothwell will probably be forced to stand with him Hunt for a while.
Tuna/Romero - Romero seems pretty slick on the ground( the way he pulled out that armbar on Petruzelli(a black belt) was really impressive. He might have a hard time getting Tuna to the ground though and I have no idea if he can beat him standing. Tuna can def get subbed by romero if it goes down to the ground so neither side has certainty.
Out of the remaining I only know something about Boetsch and Ring. I think Boetsch has this one. He has a distinct advantage in the wrestling. He also has a shitload of power in his hands and seemingly sufficient sub defense. Also BTW, Boetsch's only losses are to 205 pound wrestlers..I will probably bet Boetsch pretty hard.
So...Boetsch and Koscheck are my picks and probably the consensus best bets..
Sidenotes: Distance bets. What are everyones ideas for how long fights will go?
I don't see QJ/JJ going the distance..They both can stop it by KO and I also think JJ can sub QJ.
Diaz Gomi - no idea. Diaz is hard to ko or sub. Gomi is reasonably tough to ko but he gasses. He is def subbable by Diaz but he has decent takedown D.
Hughes/Koscheck- I don't know. Anything can happen here. Tough call. Koscheck might overwhelm Hughes.
Rothwell/Hunt - This one could actually go the distance. Rothwell doesn't usually go for submissions and Hunt is hard as fuck to knock out. Rothwell is also very tough. That said..if it goes 15 minutes you would think one of these guys is getting knocked out..I might take over 1 or 2 rounds for this.
Tuna/Romero- I would think this one isn't going the distance but who knows.
Ring/Boestch. I do not think Ring has a great shot at stopping Boetsche but I would not be suprised to see Boetsche G and P Ring.
So distance/props:
QJ/JJ doesn't go the distance
So in total:
Boetsche
Koscheck
QJ/JJ does not go the distance
All seem fairly solid to me.1 unit = 300 $Comment

JJ/QJ distance bet isnt worth it anymore. It used to be -260, now its -600. QJ is notoriously hard to finish, seems to fight conservatively now, doesnt have that killer instinct he used to have, plus jon jones gasses in many of his fights, doesnt have much power in his hands, and could fight cautiously against a dangerous opponent in JacksonComment

I can see QJ/JJ going the distance tbh. Rampage is tough to finish and if he is able to hold on without getting pounded out on the ground in the 1st 3 rounds he may be able to survive the rest because Jones might get tired. Are you going to lay -600 for that prop edman?Comment
