“But then last week I got word Matt Hughes, who has avoided me for years, needed an opponent for UFC 135 in Denver on Sept. 24. I’ve called out Hughes for so long but he’s always avoided me. When he was on top and one of the top in the division, he used his position to avoid fighting me and all the AKA guys,” Koscheck explained. “But when Diego Sanchez pulled out hurt with three weeks to go, I knew the UFC would have no choice but to try to talk Hughes into fighting me. Like I knew he would, he tried to suggest fighting Jon Fitch instead, knowing full well Fitch is still recovering from shoulder surgery. I tweeted that I’d accepted the fight and was ready, just to put pressure on Hughes to quit bitching and take the fight. I wanted to make it so that if he did turn the fight down, all the fans would know that he bitched out. He had nowhere else to go and I’ve finally got my fight with Matt Hughes.”Comment

Wow, Koscheck is really a douchebag. That said I think he will win but I give Hughes a good shot. I could def see him stuffing Kos's takedowns. He should have at least a decent shot at that. Koschecks standup isn't high level or anything, he has been beaten there by a lot of people. Hughes has some decent skill standing. This one might be more even than people are calling it. I give Koscheck the advantage as far as wrestling creds go, and youth.1 unit = 300 $Comment

I don't see how Hughes can win this fight. I agree that Koscheck is a massive douche. I wonder if he realizes that he is the one that looks like a bitch here, calling out washed up guys on a retirement tour rather than guys that are actually relevant in the division.2012: +19.33

Literally nothing would make me laugh harder than seeing Hughes knock Koscheck out. It would be great. But, realistically... Hughes has only dropped one guy in 50 fights. Koscheck is probably going to give him the Trigg treatment.2012: +19.33

Jones is going to take Rampage down and beat him imo. I doubt Rampage is even better than Jones in the striking. Rampage is apparently "motivated, blah blah blah blah" but he is probably going to lose and claim he was injured and he fought for the fans anyways. As a fan I want to see Rampage KTFO Jones because it would make the LHW division even funnier.
Koscheck will probably beat Hughes early on the feet. Even BJ was reluctant in an interview when talking about this fight...his tone of voice basically said "Koscheck is going to win, sorry Matt" but he switched things up to "Yeah if Hughes tries he has a chance".
I think Browne will beat Broughton. Broughton is not good at all imo, just watch some of his vids to see what I mean. I think Browne has a lot of potential, and he is training with a good camp now. He probably shouldn't be -350 but he should win.
I think Diaz is going to beat Gomi decisively. I would like to see my cousin beat Diaz, but it's probably not going to happen. Gomi is probably going to stand there like a statue and get lit up while throwing some big punches that miss. I like the prop bet on this fight to not go the distance..Diaz is always trying to finish, Gomi gasses, and Gomi's only shot here is the KO.
Ben Rothwell is either going to get brutally KTFO or dominate this whole fight. I lean Rothwell for sure, I just don't like the fact that he has had some pretty serious injuries.
Not sure about Riley/Ferguson, but this is probably a gimme fight for Ferguson.
I think Boetsch is going to win a top control decision against Ring. I am kind of hesitant though, I think Kendall Grove is just so fragile and weak that he made Boetsch look like a complete beast at middleweight.
The remaining 3 fights I am not sure about. I like Escovedo over Mizugaki if the line is right.Comment
