Just watched Hendo/Rua again. The 3rd was arguably a 10-8 for Hendo.

First round was very close, and I guess Wandy supposedly outlanded Le 17-16. I would have scored it for Le though, and I think what makes the difference is that he actually dropped Silva to his knees with a spinning backfist, which was definitely the most significant strike of the round.

Arguably, sure, but if it was then round 5 ABSOLUTELY was a 10-8.

Shogun took some massive shots, to be sure, but then he swept, went for a leg lock, took Dan down and started throwing his own punches. He did plenty offensively to make it merely a 10-9, IMO. Dan did absolutely nothing in Round 5.

I guess I value someone swarming an opponent with a bunch of unanswered shots over someone else half-dropping an opoonent who isn't visibly rocked/wobbled.

I think everyone else thought he WAS visibly rocked/wobbled.

Follow up on one of the props:

The line on "who will land the most leg kicks?" started at Rua: -400, Hendo +200.

If I'm remembering correctly, the line stayed at that value through three rounds, at which point it was taken down. At that point, Hendo had outlanded Rua by (I think) 4 to 1, which means that even with two rounds to go, there was insane value on Hendo at +200. Unfortunately, I was too busy watching other stuff to count the kicks, but the moral of the story is that keeping track as the main event progresses might be hugely profitable.

I was able to put $600 on the Cain leg-kick prop, so unless they screwed up for that fight or changed their minds, I think the BM limits for those props are betting, or betting to win $1000. So the Rua-Hendo LK line may have been another grand I could have picked up if I had been paying closer attention.

So I've read around a bit, and to my great surprise, it seems that most reactions regarding Le's performance skew more toward the positive than the negative.

                    That's unexpected.

Wanderlei was absolutely rocked by that second spinning backfist. When it landed it halted all his motions including the punch he was throwing at the time. Both his hands dropped straight down when his knees buckled. Le didn't press him with anything other than flashy kicks afterward but make no mistake, Wanderlei was stunned good for a second.

really? im sturggling to think of many guys he would beat in the 185 division. Can't fight a brawler with a tough chin, cant fight a wrestler, can't fight a technical striker, maybe someone like bisping would be his best hope.

Lets not start acting like Le would be able to wrestle with a majority of the wrestlers at 185lbs. It's not like that division is stocked with a ton of high level wrestlers. Aside from Munoz, Okami, and Sonnen who's a truly high level wrestler at Middleweight?

                              Le vs. Weidman?

Well being a technical striker is pretty much everything Bisping has going for him. It's certainly not power or submission skills.

I think Le would do well against anyone who is good in any area, but not necessarily great in those areas. He's a good striker and also seems to have decent defensive wrestling, but he needs to learn to use his hands more and the cardio thing is a must-be-addressed-immediately kind of thing. He also need to get some killer instinct.
