Utah State comes in with a 7-5 record, but is basically three plays away from being 10-2. The team suffered three absolutely brutal, last-minute losses to Auburn, Colorado State and BYU, but got up off the mat to finish strong and qualify for a bowl game and they're thrilled to be here. The Aggies did it with a strong spread attack that ranked sixth in the nation in rushing and a defense that led the WAC in yards allowed. Speaking of brutal losses, Frank Solich and Ohio U. blew a 21-point lead in the MAC Championship Game to Northern Illinois and the chance to go to a more decorated bowl, rather than heading to Idaho. Look for Ohio to still be a bit hungover from that loss and not have enough in the tank to take down Utah State.Comment
