double-dime bet 239 KAN 13.5 (-110) SportsInterAction vs 240 PIT
Analysis:
I know. I know. It's hard to get away from those 29 giveaways and unworldly minus 20 turnover ratio when making a case for the Chiefs. Poor coaching doesn't help the argument either.
At some point, though, the turnover ratio has to come down because the Chiefs actually have a decent defense ranking 13th in yardage. That start could come here because the Steelers have created just eight turnovers, which was second-fewest in the league entering this Week 10. The Steelers are even in takeaways/giveaways so they're not particularly opportunistic.
There's a certain randomness to turnovers, even when discussing the Chiefs. So let's turn to matchup, injuries and situation.
Pittsburgh is a good, but far from great team at 5-3. They have lost to the Titans and Raiders, who are a combined 7-12. The Steelers have gained just 78 yards more than their opponents, which comes out to less than 10 yards more per game. Pittsburgh's average win margin is nine points.
The Chiefs are healthier than Pittsburgh. They also have by far the best running back in Jamaal Charles. The Steelers are missing several key players, including Troy Polamalu, offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert and Antonio Brown, their second-best wideout.
Thankfully this is the Chiefs' last stand-alone nationally televised game. So Kansas City shouldn't lack for motivation to show the nation they are better than its 1-7 record and not the worst team in the NFL. Talent-wise, the Chiefs are far better than Jacksonville, the other contender for worst team.
Pittsburgh is off a bi©g upset road win against the Giants. Up next for the Steelers is a Sunday night home game against Baltimore in a division showdown game. That game is far bigger than this one. So even though this is a Monday night game, it's still not the greatest situational spot for the Steelers.Comment

Game of the Month
Kansas City Chiefs vs Pittsburgh Steelers 8pm
7-Units Chiefs +14 @ bovada
Kansas City has had its offensive problems but that doesn't mean its completely incapable of moving the ball. In fact, they have moved the ball well, but turnovers and penalties have just killed the scoring opportunities. Case and point, the last two games the Chiefs have been outscored 29-57, but yardage they have only been outgained by 95 yards. They can move the ball. Also, heres another stat to prove this point, Kansas City has gained more yards this season than they have allowed! Kansas City has only been outgained 3 of theri 8 games. Pittsburgh is the better overall team, but its very rare that a NFL team should be double digit favorites. They are all professionals. It should be reserved for the worst vs the best, and although the Chiefs record indicates they are on of the worst. They aren't. I like the Kansas City to be able to control the time of possession and ultimately have a chance to win this game outright. I really like them plus the points. Play as low as 12.5.Comment

Game of the Day
Fairfield vs Virginia 7pm
3 stacks Virginia -8 @ 5dimes
Why they will win: Justin Anderson. If Virginia can keep this kid in school all 4 years he could be up there with Ralph Sampson as far as basketball players coming out of University of Virginia. He's that good. He was the 35th best high school recruit according to Scouts inc. He's legitimate 6'6 and ultra athletic and games against schools like Fairfields, his athleticism should take over the game. I expect UVA to let the kid loose tonight and they win by double digits.Comment

Game of the Month
Miami (5-2) vs. Houston (3-3) 8p.m.
7 Stars Miami -5 @ 5dimes
There have been times in this young NBA season that the Miami Heat have seemed to be unstoppable. Miami has won 5 of its first 7 games by an average margin of 15.4 points per game, but in the Heat’s two losses they fell by 20 points to the Knicks and 18 points to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Heat have looked great at times and they have looked like an average team so far this season, but it would be hard to believe that the defending NBA Champions would play as bad as they did Sunday night versus Houston. The Rockets began the season on a high note when they beat the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks as both games featured great performances from James Harden to start his Rocket career, but 2 of Houston’s 3 wins have come against Detroit and they come into tonight losers of 3 of their past 4 games. Part of the problem has been Houston’s inability to score on a high level as they have only scored 88.3 points per game over the course of their last 4 after breaking the 100 point plateau in each of their first two contests. One thing is for certain, 88 points will not get it done versus the Heat coming off a loss and the fact is Houston lacks the talent to do much about it. The Heat are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings with the Rockets. Even though Dwayne Wade is dealing with an illness he is expected to play and will likely play better than his 8 point performance on 3 of 15 shooting from Sunday and I expect for LeBron James to have a field day against Chandler Parsons tonight.Comment

Youngstown St +8 (to win 2 Units) - The Penguins are very good at staying within the number. They surprised everyone with the outright winner against George Washington. Georgia won despite not looking good at all against lowly Jacksonville. Don't be surprised if Youngstown pulls off another outright winner tonight.
Virginia -8 (to win 1.50 Units)
NBA
Portland -3 (2 Units) - Portland is one of the better home teams, but were roughed up the clippers and narrowly beaten by the Spurs last time out. Expect a bounce back in the final game of a 3 game homestand against the Hawks.Comment
