I expect Atlanta to be in a very angry mood tonight as last night they were embarrassed by Philadelphia in Philly losing by 19 points. That loss came the following Atlanta playing Oklahoma City at home. I feel Atlanta went to Philadelphia flat off of their game against Oklahoma City. Chicago played last night as well and went to the Big Apple ¦ and pulled off a Big Win against New York. This will be Chicago's 4th game in 6 days with all of them being travel games as they played all 4 games in different cities. Between that tough travel schedule and the big upset win in New York against one of the NBA's elite teams I feel Chicago is ripe for getting blown out. Chicago will be looking to get back home and playing on Christmas day. Bad spot for them as I have Atlanta winning by 7-9 points.

This play is as much going against Richmond as it is taking George Mason. Richmond had won 5 in a row beforee going to Kansas in their last game. Richmond got smacked 87-59 and now retu £rns home looking to bounce back. This game is being held at Richmond Coliseum so this is not a true home game. Richmond has been racking up wins against a very soft schedule but even though they have been beating up on weaker teams they have not been covering the spread as they are a over rated team. Richmond is just 1-7 ATS the last 8. The main reason for that is Richmond plays poor defense. Teams are shooting in mid to upper 40% or higher in most games. I like George Mason here as a Live dog as they have played the tougher schedule. It also must be noted that George Mason has had plenty of time to prep for Richmond as this will be their first game since Dec 8th and then don't play again till next Saturday.

It has been a nightmare of a season for the Lions as what once was suppose to be a playoff year has turned out to be a disaster. The Lions have lost 6 in a row and in 4 of those games they actu ´ally had leads. In fact there was a stretch at home that they held 4th Q leads with under 2 minutes to play against Green Bay, Houston and Indianapolis. Amazingly they found a way to lose all 3 of those games and that is when things came totally unraveled. With them back at home I expect a big effort from them. Last week when we can out Arizona as a Free Pick on Video I said that I was going against Detroit as much as I was going with Arizona. I said that after blowing a 14 point lead on TV to the Packers on Sunday Night Football they would have no reason to show up and play in Arizona. I stated there are only 3 times you can consider playing Detroit the rest of the season. 1. Against a division rival. 2. If in the role of Spoiler. 3. If it's a National TV Game. Well we have 2 of the 3 here as Detroit can deny Atlanta Home Field field advantage so they can play spoiler to a degree. Secondly this is a Nationally Televised game so the Lions will not want to embarrass themselves like they did last week in Arizona. Atlanta looked sharp last week but they have had a habit of playing to the level of their competition. Detroit can put up points and should again today at home as in their last 4 home games Detroit has scored 28,20,31 and 33 points. Prior to last weeks 34-0 Blowout the Falcons had scored 24 or less in 4 straight games. I feel Detroit is a very live dog here that can afford to take chances as they have nothing to lose and that always makes a dog even more dangerous. Detroit Wins this 27-24.
