              MILLIONAIRES Seattle

It’s a bird battle when the Seattle Seahawks take on the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Divisional Playoffs. We have the Seahawks soaring higher in this match-up. Seattle played its way into the Divisional portion of the playoffs with a 24-14 win against the Washington Redskins. Seattle fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter before coming up with a sixth straight win. If you can fall behind by 2 TD's, then fumble your next possession and still win by double digits ON THE ROAD, you get that sense that you belong at the top. This game all comes down to Marshawn Lynch. Marshawn Lynch continued to be effective with 32 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown. He will run the ball down the Falcons beaks and by the second half, their defense will be vulnerable to any and all that Russell Wilson wants to do. The Seahawks defensive strength is against the pass which should be assisted by the ineffective running game of the Falcons. The Falcons defense is not as stout from a yardage perspective, but they are still a good unit. The wrong side is favored in this game.

              NO LIMIT Houston

New England looks to keep rolling while Houston is out to exact revenge in Foxboro. I'm not big on revenge when there's a blowout and the re-match is played the following year. But when it was played earlier this season it is still fresh. I still think there is a revenge factor for the Texans in this spot. They were embarrassed on national television by New England on December 10th and with the comments made in Boston newspapers earlier this week calling the Texans “terrible” you can be sure it’ll be bulletin board material for Houston. While I think New England is the better team here I think we have been too quick to dismiss the Texans who were Super Bowl favorites less than a month ago. The success of the Texans will come in the form of Arian Foster who continues to emerge as one of the league’s best running backs and if Foster can get going on the ground and keep Brady and Co off the field this one could be a lot closer than the line indicates. The Patriots pass defense is one of the worst in the NFL, so Houston will score and be able to keep the pointspread in their sights.

5 Unit Play. #114 Take Atlanta -2 ½ over Seattle (1:00p.m., Sunday, Jan 13 FOX)
Here we go again! The Atlanta Falcons are getting no love at home against the Seattle Seahawks and the Falcons have won 7 out of their last 8 home games. The Seahawks are coming to Atlanta after a come from behind win against the Redskins but they won that game because RGIII had only one leg. Atlanta comes into this game losing at home to the Bucs and in reality I don't see Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons losing 2-straight home games. Atlanta is 22-7 ATS in their last 29 games following a SU loss.

                      3-Unit Play. Take #113 Seattle (+2.5) over Atlanta (1 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13)
I like the Seahawks to get the upset in this one. I think that the line tells the whole story. Atlanta is not even a three-point favorite for being the home favorite. That tells me the oddsmakers think the Seahawks are the better team. I think they are the better team. Atlanta has not won a playoff game with Mike Smith and Matt Ryan. I think that is a big weight over this team. They have been blown out in the playoffs the last two years. If they fall behind in this game I think that all the bad memories of that and the booing from the fans will get to this team. Atlanta did not play as strong of a schedule as the Seahawks this year. Seattle's defense has shut down some of the best offenses in football. I don't think that Atlanta's defense is going to be able to slow down Seattle's rushing attack and they won't stop hot Russell Wilson. Seattle will put the upset.

3-Unit Play. Take #116 First Half: New England (-6) over Houston (4:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13)
I like New England to get off to a fast start in this game. Houston has not played well over the last month. And they were blown out already in Foxboro. The Patriots have been great when Bill Belichick gets two weeks to prepare. This team will be healthy and I think that Tom Brady will come out sharp. I don't think Houston will be able to stop New England's passing game. The Patriots have been an excellent first half team all year. I think that continues in the playoffs. Look for them to get off to a hot start.

7 Unit Play.#114 Take Atlanta Falcons -2.5 over Seattle Seahawks (Sunday, 1 pm FOX) NFL Playoff Game of the Year.Seattle was certainly on the ropes last weekend in Washington, and had RG3 stayed healthy I believe that Washington would be the team playing Atlanta and not the Seahawks. Nobody believes in Atlanta, and even the line tells you that many people expect the Seahawks to win this game. But I am not one of those people, and I feel that this is a perfect matchup for the Falcons. Seattle is making their second cross-country flight and will be without the services of Chris Clemons, who tore his ACL last week. Both of these things are devastating to this team. Atlanta is very balanced on both sides of the football, and I just do not believe that the Seahawks passing game is strong enough to threaten the Falcons secondary. Seattle is just 10-22 ATS in their last 32 games after allowing less than 15 points in their previous game. Atlanta is 22-7 ATS in their last 29 games following a loss in their previous game.

4 Unit Play.#115 Take Houston Texans +10 over New England Patriots (Sunday, 4:30 pm CBS)Many people believe that the Texans are a sinking ship at the moment. However, they were the best team in the conference for 16 weeks, and this is just too many points to be laying. Houston has a strong defense led by the likely defensive player of the year, JJ Watt, and they have a strong passing game that can threaten this suspect New England secondary. It is imperative that Coach Wade Phillips come up with a better defensive game plan than he did in the first meeting, and I have a suspicion that he will. Houston is 9-3 ATS (1 push) in their last 13 games against teams with a winning record. New England is just 1-8 ATS in their last nine playoff games. This game goes down to the wire, and we will collect no matter who comes out on top.

                            3-Unit Play. Take #114 Atlanta (-2.5) over Seattle (1 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 12)

The Falcons still aren't getting any respect. This Atlanta team is ready and waiting to blow the doors off the Seattle Seahawks. The Falcons got two weeks to rest all their bumps and bruises and to prepare for the speed of Seattle on the defensive side of the ball. Seattle is also not that solid a road squad and playing in the Georgia Dome is actually becoming one of the difficult tasks in the NFL.

Seattle is trying to win on the East Coast for the second weekend in a row and that has only happened one time prior. The St. Louis Rams are the only "West Coast" team to ever win two consecutive playoff games on the East Cost, and after Sunday that trend will continue. Atlanta gets to play with the disrespected chip on their shoulder and history shows that this is a huge motivator in the NFL.

I am not sure why people think that Atlanta isn't the type of team that can beat the other good teams in the NFL as they are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games versus a team with a winning record. Atlanta is also the type of team that bounces back extremely well from losses, and their loss last time out will pay dividends for their backers. The Falcons are 22-7 ATS in their last 29 games following an S.U. loss. Take the disrespected home favorite in this one.

3-Unit Play. Take 'Over' 47.5 Houston at New England (4:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 12

New England's offense is one of the best in football and Houston's defense is getting a bit more credit than they deserve. I know that statistically they don't give up a ton of yards and I know that they only give up an average of 13 points per game, but over their last eight games they are giving up over 25 points a game. They played lights out versus Cincinnati in the first round of the playoffs but if Andy Dalton hits a wide open AJ Green in the endzone for a touchdown the Bengals inept offense puts up 20 points. The Patriots will easily hit the 30 point mark and I see the Texans being a bit more competitive than they were the first time these two teams met. This game has mid to high 30s - mid to high 20s written all over it. I wouldn't be surprise to see 40 points scored in the first half and this total to be covered by the end of the third quarter.

The 'Over' is 21-8 in the Patriots last 29 home games, 19-6 in the Pats last 25 games versus a team with a winning record, 39-15 in their last 54 games overall, and 42-19 in their last 61 games following a S.U. win. Even better than all of this is the 'Over' is 4-0 in the last four games between the two teams. Expect a lot of points in this matchup.

4 Unit Play Take #114 Atlanta -2.5 over Seattle (1:00pm est):

This is a big game obviously for both teams but it's way bigger for the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have waited for this moment since the end of last season and came out this year in the early going determined to get a 1st round playoff home game. The Falcons not only did that they won the NFC meaning they will play at home again next week also if they win this game here. Atlanta has been wrongly criticized because of their 0-3 playoff record the last four season's as the reality is two of those games were on the road and the other was against Aaron Rodgers and the red hot Green Bay Packers and in quarterback Matt Ryan's rookie season. There are no excuses now for the Falcons. They have a veteran group and head coaching staff that should be able to handle the pressure of this situation. Atlanta is also a rock solid home team as the Falcons started out the year winning their first seven home games before finally losing a meaningless contest to Tampa Bay to end the regular season.

Seattle looked the least impressive of the playoff winners last week. If not for the injury to Redskins quarterback RG3 you wonder what would have happened to this Seahawks team who looked a little overwhelmed given the situation early in that game. Keep in mind the Seahawks also don't look nearly as good on the road than they do when the are at home. Their rookie quarterback has done an outstanding job this season but the pressure of this game will dwarf anything he seen or felt before. Also keep in mind that Seattle lost arguably their best defensive player Chris Clemons last week to injury and who will be out of this game. This is a huge loss for a Seahawks defense who will have their hands full stopping one of the best passing attacks in the league.

You almost got the feeling Seattle did what they needed to do to have fulfilling season overall with their win last week over Washington. Now it's Atlanta's turn and time here. The Falcons will be pumped up for this game and so will their crowd. Expecting a rookie quarterback in this environment to keep up with the high flying Falcons who are in what feels like a must-win spot for them is just asking way too much. Atlanta reaches it's goal and gets the win and cover here in this one. We are in the dogs days of the CBB season and I feel that I am on the cusp of another big run in this sport. I made my clients a huge profit last season and though I have been off to a slower than expected start so far this year, it's still early and I have high hopes the remainder of the CBB year. Keep in mind that I have made my $100 a unit players a solid healthy $3,000 of profit over the last two years combined betting on CBB. There are a ton of plays left this season as a half a season of CBB selections is equal to a whole NFL year volume wise. Join me the remainder of the year and see for yourself.
