Analysis:
On January 16, the Denver Nuggests were playing good ball, coming into Okc having won 6 straight. They had barely won the night before 115-111 in OT, and faced a rested OKC team. OKC anhilated them 117-97, opening u®p a 34-18 1q lead, and 67-47 halftime lead.
Fast Forward to today, and we have the same situaion. It's Groundhog Day! Now the Nuggets have won 12 straight, but this time off a grueling down to the last review OT win, late last night @ Chicago. Now, they have to fly down to Oklahoma and face the rested Thunder in a horrific spot.
What make this a complete Blowout spot is that Denver somehow managed to beat OKC the last 2 times they played, by 2 and by 3 in Denver. OKC has this one circled, and there will be Blood in the ......well........Thunder. The Thunder are 9-2 SU/ATS with Revenge this year. Like the Heat, this team does not like to lose, and they remember and payback hard in these revenge games. With Double Revenge, I expect they will jump all over Denver here.

The total sits at 129 for this game and to get 12.5 points on that total is worth it here. Bear in mind that Northeastern won 20 games this year and is a competent team. And, you would think that Northeastern is up for this game much more than Alabama who had a shot at going to the Tourney if they could have beat Florida in the SEC Tournament. In tournaments like these, it all comes down to which team has the motivation to do well and frankly, wants to be here. Northeastern is led by two seniors and a junior which should work to their favor today as this could be their last post-season. Northeastern has played some tough teams this year including beating Belmont, losing to UMass by 6 and losing to La Salle by two - all of who mare tourney teams. Plus, Alabama is more focused on the other teams in the same tournament such as Kentucky for example who they will likely get up and play. Alabama gets up for the teams that they are an underdog against such as a Florida (who they covered against recently) or a Kentucky. But they do not necessarily cover large spreads such as this one today over Northeastern who will be up for this game and excited to be in Tuscaloosa. The Huskies of Northeastern are coming off a tough loss to James Madison, a team they beat earlier in the year and will look to rebound here. They are likely hungry from playing poorly in their last game and are 14-2 ATS coming off an ATS loss and 6-1 ATS when facing teams with a winning percentage of greater than 60%. The Tide are also 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games.

4-Unit Play. #543. Take Oklahoma City -9.5 over Denver (Tuesday @ 8pm est).
When you lose to a team twice in a year its going to be on the back of your mind when you play them the third time. Combine that with the fact that if its a conference rival and your the Oklahoma City (OKC) Thunder who have lost just 17 games this year and 2 of them are to the Nuggets, that's even more reason for them to get up for this game. Plus, the public is baiting on the points here with the Nuggets. Its not often you see a team that has won 46-22 games this year at this point getting 9 points. I like this to be a decent public fade, the Thunder have lost to the Nuggets twice this year so this is a game of pride as well as they avoid getting beat by this team for the third straight time after losing by 2 on the road and 3 on the road. Granted, OKC did beat this team by 20 points at home in their first game of the year as a similar 9 point chalk. Look for this game to play out in that similar manner today.

4-Unit Play. #53. Take Nashville -105 over Columbus (Tuesday @ 7:05pm est).
The Predators are (4-1) in the last (5) meetings in Nationwide Arena, Columbus, Ohio and a perfect (7-0) in their last (7) Tuesday games and an amazing (43-14) in the last (57) meetings. Don't think that Nashville has forgotten their home opener when Columbus beat them in a shoot-out, (3-2). These teams are tied for 11th place in the Western Conference playoff hunt and look for the Preds Goalie Pekka Rinne to snap out of his recent slump as time is winding down if Nashville has plans on postseason play. Nashville HC Barry Trotz is a defensive guy and his teams play sound defense, have good goaltending and are opportunistic offensively. The strength of this team is its defense. Predators' General Manager David Poile should be considered, without a doubt, the most underrated GM in the NHL over the last (30) years. His formula (strong team defense in the absence of elite goal scorers) has proven to be successful to a point, but Poile has never had the cash to get his teams over the hump due to cheap ownership. The Preds have a smart front office and Barry Trotz is one of the NHL's best coaches and together they have this team really set up long-term and really in a good position to contend this season. Important win here as they head back home to the Bridgestone Arena after this five game road swing.Comment
