In Billy Donovan I trust. Donovan is a coach that I've admired for years and he is the type of coach that does not let the "noise" around him affect him if you will. Regardless of all the noise out there about Florida Gulf Coast, Donovan knows one thing, that this is a team that still has weaknesses that can be exposed. The Coast has not faced a team with the offensive prowess of Florida yet. The teams they have faced were Georgetown and San Diego State both of whom have their weaknesses such as Georgetown who is 170th in turnovers or San Diego State who is 170th in effective field goal percentage. Florida is the only team in America that is top 5 in both offensive and defensive efficiency. This is why they were my pick to win it all this year just based on the numbers. Florida is 5th in effective field goal percentage and that type of offense is not one that the Coast has seen thus far. With Comer running wild elsewhere, don't expect that here and look for Sherwood to be double-teamed by Florida. Florida also has athletic bigs which the other teams did not have and with 65% of the public riding the pine on the underdog here on Friday Night, look for a close game going into the second half and then Florida to pull away. Billy Donovan is a great coach as is Andy Enfield but with the Coast being outside the top 200 in turnovers that will have an impact today as Florida is unlike Georgetown in that they have a great defense and a great offense to boot.

The Cavaliers are a young and inexperienced team that will need time to develop. Their core talent is either in their second-year guys or rookies, and all of them are (25) years old or younger. Sixers HC Doug Collins knows that with all the new faces he had in town, it will take a while for his team to establish its identity, but they are not committed on the defensive end of the court. We like the Cavs chances here against the boys from the "City of Brotherly Love ". The Home team is (6-2) ATS in the last (8) meetings, the Cavaliers are (6-1) ATS in their last (7) versus the NBA Atlantic and (5-1) ATS in their last (6) home games versus a team with a losing road record. The crowd is typically eclectic in Cleveland on Friday Night and though this team has lost five in a row, look for them rebound this Friday Night against a Philadelphia team that comes off a big win. Philadelphia is just 7-26 on the road this year and as they come off a win against Milwaukee, I suspect they will have a let down in this contest. The Cavaliers have a way of winning against teams they should as they are 5-0 ATS against teams with a winning percentage of less than 40% Overall and the home team is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings between these two teams.

The Stars have been off since losing to the Wild on Monday in a wild one 7-4, that was the second the Wild beat the Stars this year. The red hot Wild went home to hold on to beat Phoenix 4-3 and now have to hope back on the plane to go back to Dallas while the Stars have been resting. I like this Minnesota team but this is just a bad spot in the schedule vs a capable Stars team that has one of the best goaltenders in the league in Kari Lehtonen who gave up a season worst six goals in that loss Monday, I think a healthy Stars team will bounce back in this win and end the Wild winning streak.
