NHL Scoring Down, UNDERS Cashing in as Playoffs Loom
If you've been watching the NHL lately, you may have noticed it's starting to look more like playoff hockey, which often means tougher defense.
Over the past three days, the under has cashed in at a rate of 13-5-3 and an average of 4.7 goals were scored in those games. That's down considerably from the NHL season average of 5.4 goals per game (2845 goals scored in 529 games).
The over/under record this season is 226-254-49, with the over cashing in at a rate of just over 52 percent heading into Tuesday's schedule.
With the goals drying up, there are some significant under streaks in the NHL right now. Here are the most notable ones:
Pittsburgh 9-0-1
Carolina 8-1-1
Vancouver 7-0-2
Winnipeg 6-2
Florida 5-1-1
NY Islanders 4-1Comment
