I considered Antonio Banuelos, as i'm lucky enough to have some good info on all PIT fighters. While i want to take him, i know there's a reason he opened as the dog here. Ozkilic is a rising prospect, and i respect that. This is likely to go to a decision, and that's why i like Banuelos. Unless the line goes crazy, i'm not touching this one, even though i wanted too.

Analysis: I'm laying the 1.5 here with the KC thrower having a pretty good outing last time out but overall not performing well and horrible results against the Rangers in a couple of starts. KC did get a win last time out but competing here at Texas verses a team that score more than 6 per 9 here verses righthanded pitching is not an easy task.

The Royals snapped their 8 game losing streak last night with a 4-2 win in St Louis, but that game went into the late hours of the night (or early this morning) as it wrapped up after 3:00 am local time. The Royals then had to fly to Texas to take on a Rangers team that is coming off a 9-5 victory yesterday. The Rangers are 33-20 on the season and 16-7 at home. The Royals are 22-29 on the year and 12-15 on the road. T0night's starter for Kansas City is Wade Davis who is 3-4 with a 5.71 ERA, .341 OBA and 1.87 WHIP. An opponents batting average over .300 and a whip nearing 1.90 isn't going to have much success in the Majors, and tonight he will be facing one of the hottest lineups. The Rangers are 3rd in the Majors with a .271 team average, 3rd in team slugging % at .443 and 5th with 66 homeruns (compared to KC who has just 29 and sits 27th in the league in slugging %). The Rangers will have southpaw Derek Holland on the mound who is 4-2 with an impressive 2.97 ERA, .241 OBA and 1.16 WHIP. At home in their hitters friendly ball park he has a solid 1-1 record, 2.60 ERA, .245 OBA and 1.19 WHIP over his 4 starts at home. In May he is 3-0 with a 2.53 ERA, which includes 6.2 innings of shutout ball in his last start. Take note that the Royals are just 7-19 in their last 26 overall and 2-6 in their last 8 road games. The Rangers are 8-3 in their last 11 home games, 7-2 in their last 9 vs a team with a losing record, and 36-16 in Holland's last 52 home starts. This isn't a good spot for the Royals coming off a very late game last night and travelling to Texas to play one of the best home teams in baseball this year. I like the price on the Rangers run line and we will take that to grab a winner here tonight and start up a good weekend.
