Why we like the Cardinals on Wednesday at -125...this is a Cardinals team that is playing good ball right now coming in as winners of their last 6 of 8 games while averaging 4.1 RPG and allowing just 3.7 RPG during that stretch. The Cardinals will be coming into familiar territory as they are 9-2 against the Brewers this season as well as being 5-0 against the Brewers IN Milwaukee this season. The Brewers on the other hand are scuffling as of late as they come in as losers of their last 5 of 8 games while averaging 3.6 RPG and allowing 4.4 RPG during that stretch. The Cardinals seem to be getting a nice price in this one with a struggling Jake Westbrook on the mound but there are some signs of life with Westbrook and good fortune ahead on Wednesday with him. Westbrook comes into Wednesdays game with an 8.10 era over his last 16 innings where he allowed 16 hits on 13 BBs, 9 Ks and 2 HRs. Coming into Westbrooks last start against the Cubs, he was coming off of 13 Days of Rest which proved to work against him as he allowed 6 runs through 6 innings on 8 hits, 5 BBs and 2 Ks.
