              WINNING POINTS

              COLLEGE BASKETBALL

Massachusetts over Eastern Michigan* by 16

Central Florida over Florida Atlantic* by 4

              Syracuse* over Indiana by 4

              **PREFERRED
Illinois over Georgia Tech* by 8
G-Tech’s win at Georgia is proving to be a “so-what?” deal. For a team that really struggled to score last season, head coach Brian “Overrate Me Everyone, And Why Oh,
Why Did They Let Syracuse and Notre Dame Into This League to Further Bury Me?”
Gregory has put together a rather ambitious early-season schedule. The Illini are playing nice defense, allowing only 57 ppg early.
              ILLINOIS, 70-62.

Pittsburgh* over Penn State by 14

Northern Iowa over Wisconsin-Milwaukee* by 3

BYU* over North Texas by 25
North Texas has been taking some magical mystery tours around the U.S.A. Anyone
else get the impression over the last few years that this team just tanks games every now and then, especially on the road?
              BYU, 90-65.

Arizona* over Texas Tech by 26

Colorado State* over Colorado by 4

Iowa* over Notre Dame by 10
The Irish protect the ball pretty well but they don’t seem to be as tough in the paint
              as they once were.
              IOWA, 81-71.

Florida State over Minnesota* by 1
Points available on Florida State against NCAA-caliber foes have been golden so far.

                WINNING POINTS

                PRO BASKETBALL

                *Philadelphia over Orlando by 5
Orlando is heading for a tough stretch as this is the Magic's second of six road games
in a row and eight of nine away games. The 76ers were 8-3 ATS versus Eastern
Conference opponents heading into their first meeting with Orlando this past
Wednesday. Michael Carter-Williams is the early leading candidate for rookie of the
                year honors.
                PHILADELPHIA 108-103.

                *Miami over Detroit by 11
Detroit marks the seventh straight weak foe the Heat have played. Miami was 1-4 ATS
the first five times laying double-digits this season.
                MIAMI 105-94.

                *Boston over Milwaukee by 2
The teams just met this past Saturday. The Celtics are one of the weakest teams in the league, but Brad Stevens is a promising coach and Boston could take advantage of
Milwaukee's revolving lineup and injury to shot-blocker Larry Sanders. You know
things are getting rough for the Bucks when O.J. Mayo is their top scoring option.
                BOSTON 92-90.

                *Brooklyn over Denver by 1
Expectations were set way too high for Brooklyn. Morale and multiple injuries remain
a serious problem for the Nets. The Nuggets were 5-2 ATS in their last seven games
entering the final week of November.
                BROOKLYN 103-102.

                *Memphis over Phoenix by 6
The Suns were 8-1-1 ATS during their first 10 games facing Western Conference foes,
but had been without leading scorer Eric Bledsoe (check status) going into the last
                week of November.
                MEMPHIS 92-86.

                **PREFERRED
                *Dallas over Charlotte by 20
The Mavericks have shot better than 50 percent from the floor at home in winning
their first six games at American Airlines Center. Dirk Nowitzki, Monta Ellis and
Shawn Marion should be able to take advantage of the Bobcats' perimeter defense,
which ranked among the bottom five in defending against 3-pointers. Dallas also was
5-1 ATS against Eastern Conference foes this season coming out of Thanksgiving.
                DALLAS 115-95.

Oklahoma City over *Sacramento by 10
Oklahoma City is on the road for the first time since Nov. 16. The Thunder have
defeated the Kings six consecutive times, including the past two in Sacramento by
                double-digits.
                OKLAHOMA CITY 105-95.

*Golden State over Toronto by 6
Toronto begins three straight road games starting with this matchup. The Raptors are
5-1 ATS during their past six away contests, including covering in their last four.
                GOLDEN STATE 114-108.

Kings at Ducks: What bettors need to know

Los Angeles Kings at Anaheim Ducks

The Anaheim Ducks attempt to remain unbeaten in regulation at home when they host the red-hot Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday. Anaheim improved to 10-0-1 at Honda Center on Friday, when it extended its home winning streak against Calgary to 18 games with a 5-2 triumph. The Ducks erased a two-goal deficit in the latter half of the third period at San Jose the following night but ultimately dropped a 4-3 decision in a shootout.

Los Angeles jumped out to a three-goal lead Monday and held on for a 3-2 victory over St. Louis. Tyler Toffoli scored a pair of goals and Ben Scrivens made 25 saves in improving to 6-1-4 since taking over for the injured Jonathan Quick. The Kings have earned at least one point in 12 of their last 13 contests.

TV: 10 p.m. ET, FSN West (Los Angeles), Prime Ticket (Anaheim)

LINE: The line opened at -127 and has moved with -133. The total has stayed put at 5.

ABOUT THE KINGS (17-7-4): Toffoli's two-goal performance Monday was the second of his career, as he also tallied twice on Nov. 9 against Vancouver. The 21-year-old has six goals on the season and leads the team with four game-winners. Mike Richards has collected four points in as many games but has just one goal in his last 11 contests.

ABOUT THE DUCKS (18-7-4): Ryan Getzlaf has been on a tear, recording seven goals and eight assists during his 10-game point streak. The captain has
collected 18 points over his last 12 contests. Defenseman Alex Grant made his NHL debut Saturday and sparked Anaheim's comeback with his first career goal with 7:10 remaining in the third period.

                          TRENDS:

                          * Home team is 4-0 in the last four meetings.
                          * Over is 5-1 in the last six meetings.
                          * Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings in Anaheim.
                          * Kings are 5-2 in the last seven meetings.

                          OVERTIME:

                          1. The Kings have allowed fewer than three goals in a club-record 13 consecutive contests and more than three just once in their last 17 games.

                          2. Ducks D Bryan Allen (lower body) is questionable after missing three games while fellow D Francois Beauchemin (upper body) hopes to play.

                          3. Los Angeles has allowed only three power-play goals on 47 opportunities since Nov. 7.
