Game: Colorado Avalanche @ Chicago Blackhawks
Time: Tuesday 03/04 8:05 PM Eastern
Pick: Chicago -160 ML at 5Dimes
While it wasn't likely that the Chicago Blackhawks would duplicate their record setting start from a year ago, this team has been an equal force to the team of last year. They enter this game with an overall record of 36-12-14 on the season, and have lost just four times at home all season. Colorado was the team that jumped out of the gate at 12-1 this year, and have logged an impressive 39 wins so far this season. They have hit a soft spot when facing a hot offense - one that scored 5+ goals in their previous game. The Avalanche have wilted against these hot offensive teams to a 9-20 mark in their last 29 against them. The Blackhawks are now 59-28 when following a win in their last 87, and will get it done at home. Take Chicago.
Game: Youngstown State Penguins @ Oakland Golden Grizzlies
Time: Tuesday 03/04 7:00 PM Eastern
Pick: Youngstown State +4.5 (-105) at 5Dimes
The Horizon Conference Tournament gets underway tonight, and one of these teams will put the balls away for the season. Both of these teams have had disappointing seasons, but one will get a reward here tonight and continue on. The Penguins have lost twice to Oakland by slim margins in a single point loss at home, and by 6 points in their last home game. While Youngstown State has dropped three straight, they covered the two games they played as a dog, and I think this game comes down to the wire, so the points will be big. Oakland has not lived up to the billing all season as a favorite of -4 points or more where they are an ugly 0-4 ATS. Take the points on Youngstown State.
Players NCAAB *8* Tuesday on Georgetown on 4 March
Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NCAAB Tuesday 8* (Regular Play) on Georgetown vs. Creighton@ 7:00 p.m. ET
The Georgetown Hoyas host the Creighton Bluejays Tuesday. “The Bulldog” breaks down his selection on Georgetown with his Three-Factor Analysis: 1. The Hoyas still need to boost their resume if they’re going to make the tournament cut and a win over Creighton would go a long way at this point in the season. 2. Despite some inconsistent results in the win/loss column, the Hoyas have been a steady ATS winner in recent games, going 7-3 ATS the past 10 outings. 3. Creighton may have peaked too soon. The Bluejays took one on the chin from Xavier and have only covered in two of its last eight games. It’s offensive production has taken a step back, meeting their season average of 80 points per game only three times in the last 10 contests.
Play on Georgetown as an 8* Regular Selection Tuesday.
Good luck, Scott.
Players NBA *10* Tuesday on OVER in Indiana on 4 March
Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NBA Tuesday 10* (Top Play) on OVER in Indiana vs. Golden State @ 7:00 p.m. ET
The Indiana Pacers host the Golden State Warriors Tuesday. “The Bulldog” breaks down his selection on OVER in Indiana with his Three-Factor Analysis: 1. The Pacers have turned up the intensity on offense since the All-Star break. Indiana is putting up 102 points per game in its last nine contests, going 6-2-1 O/U in that span. 2. Golden State impressed with its defensive improvements this season but that stingy play is starting to fade. The Warriors have allowed three straight opponents to score 103 points, and that came against poor offensive clubs Toronto, New York and Chicago. 3. The Warriors and Pacers don’t play all that often, but they’ve consistently topped the total when they do. They paid out for the Over in 16 of their previous 24 encounters, playing Over 69 percent of the time.
Play on OVER in Indiana as a 10* Top Selection Tuesday.
Good luck, Scott.
Players NHL *8* Tuesday on OVER in Columbus on 4 March
Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach NHL Tuesday 8* (Regular Play) on OVER in Columbus vs. Dallas @ 7:00 p.m. ET
The Columbus Blue Jackets host the Dallas Stars Tuesday. “The Bulldog” breaks down his selection on OVER in Columbus with his Three-Factor Analysis: 1. Both Dallas and Columbus are coming off games Monday night, so expect the defense to be a little lead footed when these teams take the ice Tuesday. 2. Dallas’ offense could be waking up, netting three goals in a win over Buffalo Monday and four in versus Carolina in its first game back off the break. The Stars peppered the Sabres with 39 shots Monday and rank fifth in the NHL in average shots per game with nearly 32 an outing. 3. The Blue Jackets have given their home crowd something to cheer about in recent games, totaling 15 goals in their last three contests inside Nationwide Arena.
Play on OVER in Columbus as an 8* Regular Selection Tuesday.
Good luck, Scott.
