The Minnesota Twins have been involved in some high scoring games lately. In fact, here are the final scores of their last 8 games: 8-12 6-4 3-6 11-4 4-5 6-7 5-8 4-14 All of those games went over the posted total for tonight’s game (8.5). On top of that, the Twins send Trevor May to the bump tonight. To say he has struggled is an understatement. He sports a 9.55 era in games he has started and his 16.19 era on the road is unreal. Trevor Bauer toes the rubber for the Indians tonight. He has been a good pitcher most of the year but he has struggled against the “mighty” Twins. In his two starts vs Minnesota, he has pitched 10 2/3 innings allowing 10 hits and a staggering 8 earned runs. He just faced the Twins on August 19th and he allowed 5 earned runs in just 4 2/3 innings. Minnesota had an off day yesterday while Cleveland was drilled by the Angels 12-3 at home in a game that they used 5 relief pitchers. This is a perfect spot for some offensive fireworks.
