Houston committed six turnovers in that game and only had possession for 22:14. Last week Houston won against Grambling 47-0 but Grambling committed six turnovers making it easy for the Cougars. John O’Korn threw four picks against UTSA. It won’t get any easier against BYU. The Mormons scored 28-points alone in the third quarter in Austin and had nearly a 2-1 ratio edge in first downs and total yards. They are averaging 38 points a game at UCONN and Texas and now have their home opener. Taysom Hill is already a combined 46-of-63 (73 percent) for 489 yards rushing for five touchdowns and throwing for three. BYU is 8-1 ATS in their last nine weekday games. I have some reservations about BYU because they only beat Houston 47-46 last year although did run up 681 yards of offense. BYU also is 14-7 ATS laying points in Provo and 17-8 ATS as a double-digit chalk. I do have some reservations because Houston has covered six straight away games.
