Chicago is hardly reliable and they've been a bad home team. But they sure looked good last weekend, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. If that was a one week blip, so be it, but it might well be that unit is coming together, in which case this is a good football team. The Dolphins blew last week's game against Green Bay and I really feel Joe Philbin could be losing this team's confidence as a coach. I won't call it a whopping advantage because it isn't, but my three sets of numbers come up with Chicago -5. So there's a little value at the current tag, and I think the mental aspect favors the hosts as well. I can live with spotting a FG with the Bears.

Two mediocre teams in action here. No problem at all playing against the Redskins, who are now 0-7 when Cousins starts at QB. The Titans are about as bad at holding leads as it gets, but at least they got a win last week and have a little positive momentum. No one knows as of now whether or not Jake Locker plays here. He did practice some on Thursday, so I think there's at least a decent chance he's in. If Locker can play, then this becomes a pretty good value at anything more than field goal. If not, it's still a bunch of points against a bad team. For what it's worth, I have these teams almost dead even on my rankings, and I make Washington less than a two-point favorite. That's a take with the Titans.
