#504 Take New Orleans -10.5 over Orlando (NBA Pointspread Bet)
Game: Dallas Mavericks @ San Antonio Spurs
Time: Tuesday 10/28 8:05 PM Eastern
Pick: San Antonio -3.5 (-108) at 5Dimes
The San Antonio Spurs brought home another NBA Championship last season, and they hope that they have the roster and players to get it done one more time. Dallas had to fight through an 82 game schedule last year, to slide into the eighth and final playoffs spot in the West, and bowed out in one round to this same Spurs team. They will have to contend with more than the San Antonio team tonight as they will raise the Championship flag before the game, and the place is going to be electric. Dallas did a lot to upgrade their team, and have a lot of new talented pieces, but that may also take some time to find the roles, and team chemistry. Experimenting with that on the road against a Championship-level team in front of a frenzied crowd may be too much to ask for in game one. The Spurs are also 9-1 ATS in their last ten home games, and under Gregg Popovich, this team is 83-58 ATS as a home favorite. And even without Kawhi Leonard, the Spurs are markedly better than Dallas. San Antonio takes the opener.
Hondo, who suffered a triple-flusher Sunday, continued his free-fall Monday because the Cowboys were prime-time no-shows, which raised the debt to 1,340 hraboskys. Tuesday night: Mr. Aitch expects to be facing the maximum amount of labor this year in the diamond district, so he will throw 10 units at Ace Ventura to hurl the Royals into a Game 7.

No official play, just a lean toward Kansas City
These baseball games DO NOT get any easier to handicap. The Giants bring a 3-2 edge to middle America, but have Jake Peavy on the hill. Peavy has not made it past the 5th inning in his three playoff starts, and that's a problem. On the home side, the Royals trot out Yordano Ventura, and he was bounced around for eight hits in only 5 1/3 innings the last time out against San Fran. This matchup does not sing to me, so I'm taking a hall pass. Lean to Kaycee, but not dipping into the bank account.
