    GC: NBA Play

Huge Triple system Monday night Side takes center stage as NFL continues to rank #1 on several leader boards. NBA Dog of the Month from a rare undefeated Dog system and a blowout system side are up. In NCAAB an early season Road warrior system Free NBA Totals system below.

On Monday the free NBA Totals play is on the over in the Denver at Cleveland game. Rotation numbers 501/502 at 7:05 eastern. The Nuggets travel into Cleveland with no rest after Sundays road loss to New York. This sets up League wide NBA Totals system that has pled over the total 80% the last 19+ seasons for road dogs with no rest that lost and failed to cover while scoring 90 or more, vs an opponent, like Cleveland that scored 120 or more points as a home favorite in their last game. Cleveland has back to back 50+% shooting games from the field and has played over the last 3 times at home after scoring 120 or more at home, and 3 of 4 after scoring 105 or more. They have averaged 115 points the past 5 games and 111 points at home this year. Denver has played over in 9 of 12 on the road as a dog with no rest off a road game, 4 of 5 with revenge and 3 of 3 vs winning teams. The Nuggets allow 110 on the road. Look for this one to play over the total tonight. On Monday the lead plays is a powerful triple system side from our #1 ranked NFL Late phone service and the NBA Dog of the Month from a rare league wide system. There is also the NCAAB early season road warrior system on the Card. Jump on Now and put the most powerful data in the industry on your side. For the free play go over the total in the Denver at Cleveland game. GC

                Pittsburgh @ TENNESSEE
                TENNESSEE +6½ -105 over Pittsburgh
Yesterday in the NFL was a good reminder that the results in this league can change dramatically from week to week. It's hard to explain how Cincinnati can look so dreadful against Cleveland and then go out and defeat the Saints in New Orleans by the worse defeat that the Saints suffered at home in 10 years. Meanwhile, Cleveland gets whacked by Houston, Denver scores 7 points on St. Louis, San Diego barely gets by the Raiders and the 'Skins lose by 20 at home to Tampa Bay. Oh, and by the way, if you bet the 49ers and cashed your ticket, consider it an early Christmas gift because that ticket should've been ripped up 10 times over. That brings us to the Steelers, a team that is as schizophrenic as any team in this league, capable of both impressive wins and grating losses. Ben Roethisberger's magical tour of the record book only lasted two weeks while he was busy throwing six scores on the Colts and Ravens. He settled down to only one touchdown and 343 yards in New York versus the Jets and threw his first two interception day. Despite his eye-popping stats at home, Big Ben has only thrown for five touchdowns over his five road games. Take away those two monster home games and his numbers look as pedestrian as always. The Steelers are hugely banged up on defense. They have several replacements making their first start and even when they're healthy they can't be trusted giving away road points.

The Titans are very much like the Buccaneers in that this was supposed to be a year in which they made some noise and competed for a playoff spot. That's not going to happen but we're starting to see some positives recently. First, that 21-7 loss in Baltimore last week in Zach Mettenberger's first road start was very misleading. The Titans took the opening kickoff in that game, moved methodically down field in very impressive style and then fumbled once they got inside the-three yard line. They subsequently forced the Ravens to punt and moved downfield again in their second possession and scored a TD to take a 7-0 lead. The Titans would not score again but their defense played extremely well and you could see that Mettenberger had poise, not to mention a great arm. This now becomes the Titans “Super Bowl”. They will not be more jacked up the rest of the year than they will be for this one. They have a chance to make life miserable for the Steelers while picking up a win and some respect in front of the entire country. Monday Night Football is lined with dozens of road favorites that failed miserably when they were supposed to win easy. Fact is, the Steelers are just a very average and banged up team that is being asked to lay points in a prime time Monday nighter and that's something we'll attempt to take full advantage of. We're calling the upset but find a sweet line at Sportsinteraction of +6½ and we're jumping all over it.

                Tennessee +6- -105 2.1 units to win 2

Welcome to Ecks & Bacon for Monday, November 17, 2014 (Benjamin Eckstein)

                  Pittsburgh Steelers

Thinking about using the Steelers -6 points over the Titans this evening. Why? Two words, Zach Mettenberger. Tell me more Eck. Well, Zach is a rookie QB, and since Dick LeBeau returned as defensive coordinator in 2004, Pittsburgh is 18-2 against rookie signal-callers. Pretty nice number huh. Here's another pretty nice number if you're with me on Pitt, and it says that Tennessee has covered ONLY three of its last 17. The number is even worse at home where the Titans have covered just one of the last 12. That's an 18% cover rate overall, and 8% at home. UGLY! And if you're worried about the Steelers stinker against the Jets, DON'T. They were coming off a three game winning streak, a HUGE division win over the Ravens, and really never paid attention to Rex Ryan's crew. Gimme half a Benjamin on Pitt.

4 Unit Play. #520 Take NC State -12.5 over Hofstra (7 pm ESPN 3) This is just another case of a Power 5 Conference knocking out a mid-major at home to start the season. We have seen this happen all the time during the first three days and expect more of it tonight. The Pride will be better this season than in 2013-2014 but they have numerous transfers and it will take a while for this team to mesh. NC State is always a high scoring team and thus they will be able to cover this double digit spread tonight. NC State is 9-1 ATS (2 pushes) in their last 12 games against teams from the CAA.

4 Unit Play. #550 Take Louisville -31.5 over Jacksonville State (7 pm ESPN 3) The only fear I have about this game is that Louisville will be jet lagged after playing in Puerto Rico on Friday night. But that is really not that long of a flight and the Cardinals are playing a terrible team in Jacksonville State who got blown out by Marshall on Friday night. I see this game as a high 30's victory from the Cardinals. Louisville is 18-7 ATS (1 push) in their last 26 nonconference games.

4 Unit Play. #558 Take Iowa -19 over North Dakota State (8 pm ESPN 3)

                        4-Unit Play. #525 Take Northwestern (-1) over Brown (7 p.m., Monday, November 17)

I understand there may be some hesitancy to label Northwestern a bigger consensus road favorite out of the blocks, but this one is fairly routine as far as who is the better team. Brown isn't considered an elite Ivy league team this season, and they are picked near the middle of the conference. And while Northwestern aren't world beaters by any stretch of he imagination, I think the Big Ten school has a lot more things going for them in what will be Chris Collins' second season as head coach in Evanston, notably highly touted local recruit Vic Law suiting up as a big time immediate playmaker. Northwestern also has senior and second leading scorer JerShon Cobb back from last season. These are enough to tip the scale in favor of the power conference school. Northwestern over Brown here.

2-Unit Play. #560. Take Alabama -18.5 over Western Carolina (Monday @ 9pm est)

We're going to roll with the Crimson Tide here on Monday night for a small prediction. Anthony Grant is indeed on the hot seat and he needs a strong effort from his players this seaosn or else he is out of a job. Alabama came out of the gates strong as Grant is understanding its not just about winning with the Crimson Tide but about winning by a wide margin is what makes the fans and boosters happy. Western Carolina hung tough against Mississippi State losing by 10 points by a final score of 56-66 but they will not sneak up on Alabama here who finds themselves heavy favorites. Alabama was a -14.5 favorite over Towson and they routed them by a score of 82-54 and now look to rout a Western Carolina team that is weaker in most power rankings. Look for Alabama to do well here as they continue to win by a wide differential against teams that are outside the top 200 such as Western Carolina and if Western Carolina lost by 10 to Mississippi State they face a Alabama team that is better on the offensive and defensive side of the ball here and likely can win by a wide differential once again. We have this contest at about 22 point differential so we roll with the Crimson Tide. Note the Crimson Tide are 4-0-1 in their last 5 Home Games and the Catamounts are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games when they face a team with a winning percentage of greater than 60% overall - meaning the better teams in the league.

3 Unit Play. Take #545 Over 151 Detroit at Oregon (11:00p.m., Monday November 17)

Oregon always has an up-tempo offense and Friday night against Coppin St they scored 107 points. If Detroit can hang with the Duck on offense this game should have no problem going over. Oregon is also a very deep team so we should see multiple Ducks in double-digits tonight. Oregon is 13-3 O/U in their last 16 non-conference games.

Edges - Steelers: 6-0 ATS last six with double revenge-exact; and 9-0 ATS away off SU away loss with revenge. Titans: 0-5 ATS Monday Nights off SU loss versus .500 or greater opponent; and 0-5 ATS last five home off away. With Tennessee having been out-gained in each of its last six games this season, and just 1-9 SU and 1-8-1 ATS in its last ten games in which they are outstatted, we recommend a 3-unit play on Pittsburgh. Thank you and good luck as a always.
