Analysis:
In state rivalry games can be a slippery slope at times to wager on guys but I will take the Bulldogs here all day long. Mississippi State is still playing for very high stakes and after a blistering start the Reb's are coming down the stretch with all the momentum of a Budweiser Clydesdale running in the derby. I refuse to overthink this one. Ole Miss hit the wall last week when the Razorbacks used and basically abused them. Rivalry game or not, I think the past few weeks have taken some of the starch out of this club. The Fact is the Bulldogs are a stout 5-1 against the number in their last half dozen road contests. I will take Dak Prescott over Wallace every day of the week and twice on Saturday. This game was shaping up as something very, very special just a short time ago. I say the Bulldogs exhibit here why they are still in the position they are, still playing extremely relevant football. They impose their will here. The Rebels will show some fight early on but will not sustain it throughout. Bulldogs separate here in the final quarter. I'm going Triple Star with Prescott and company.

Baylor didn't display many style points last week in their win against Oklahoma State. The Bears controlled the game from the beginning and were never in doubt to lose, but their defense allowed the Cowboys to put up way too many points which in my mind will fail to impress the playoff selection committee. If ever their was a spot where a team needed to win with style points its here and now for Baylor. Texas Tech should provide little resistance in the form of defense as the Red Raiders are 126th in the nation in scoring defense allowing over 40 points per game. Tech has nothing to play for here as this is their last game of the season without a chance of going to a bowl and this game is being played on a neutral field. This will be the third straight year that these two teams meet at AT&T Stadium in Arlington and Baylor won and covered the previous two. Lay the points.

Florida State keeps finding ways to win after digging themselves holes early in their games. At some point that is going to catch up with the defending national champions and it could very well happen this week. This is a huge rivalry game between these two teams and the Gators would love to send departing head coach Will Muschamp out with a win against the Noles. Florida has the team equipped to pull of the upset. The Gators are a strong defensive team that can match up with the FSU offense and force quarterback Jameis Winston into more of the mistakes that he has been making this season. The FSU defense is a far cry from last years dominate squad and the pounding running game of the Gators can control the clock and keep the Florida State offense on the sidelines. Take the points.

4 Unit Play. #356/#354 Take Wisconsin Badgers -14 over Minnesota Golden Gophers (Saturday 3:30 pm BTN) The West Division is up for grabs in the Big Ten on Saturday afternoon when the Gophers come calling to get back Paul Bunyan's Ax. Wisconsin has beaten Minnesota 10 straight times, and this Badger team keeps getting better each and every week. They now have a decent passing game to compliment the best running attack in the country. Minnesota does not have an offense that can put a scare into this Wisconsin defense, and this is the second of back-to-back road games for the Gophers. Nebraska had Minnesota down early but let up, something that Wisconsin will not do. Wisconsin is 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games.

4 Unit Play. #384/#370 Take Boise State Broncos -9 over Utah State Aggies (Saturday 10:15 pm ESPN 2) The Broncos have their sights set on an appearance in the MWC, which they will host next Saturday with a victory against Utah State tonight. The Aggies still have an outside chance to win the division if they beat Boise State and Air Force beats Colorado State, but that is not likely to happen. This is the game that the Aggies having to play their fourth-string quarterback will eventually catch up to them. The Broncos have been playing outstanding football down the stretch, having won six straight games, and their weakness on defense is something Utah State will not be able to take advantage of. A bad Bronco team went into Logan last year and beat the Aggies by 11 points, and this game will be even worse. Boise State is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 home games against teams with a winning road record.

4 Unit Play. #406/#428 Take UNLV Runnin' Rebels +10 over Nevada Wolf Pack (Saturday 10:30 pm ESPN U) We have a great feel for this Nevada team and have not lost any selections for or against them this season. The Wolf Pack had an appearance in the MWC Championship Game in their grasp but fell apart last week against Fresno State (We had the Bulldogs +8). Now they face an angry UNLV team that pissed away a game last week in Hawaii, and this is the game that they have had circled for over a month. Nevada is not a good passing team and is not good on defense defending the pass. These two things will allow UNLV to keep this game close and take it down to the wire. Nevada may get the cannon back, but it will come in a battle that is close throughout. Nevada is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games against teams with a losing record at home.

4 Unit Play. #420/#362 Take Mississippi Rebels +2.5 over Mississippi State Bulldogs (Saturday 3:30 pm CBS)

4 Unit Play. #427/#419 Take Notre Dame Fighting Irish +7 over USC Trojans (Saturday 3:30 pm FOX) This game has lost most of its luster and been bumped out of primetime. Notre Dame is coming off a tough setback to Louisville, while USC is coming off a loss to their cross-town rival in UCLA. That means both teams are not playing well, and thus we will grab the points with the underdog. Notre Dame has beaten USC the last two games, and Notre Dame should be getting a couple of players back on defense. The Irish will be able to move the football on them while on offense, and I feel Notre Dame has a chance to win this game straight-up. USC is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 nonconference games. Notre Dame has covered the spread in 5 of their last 6 games against PAC-12 teams.

7-Unit Play #353 Take Tennessee-16.5 over Vanderbilt (Saturday @ 4pm est)

Tennesseeneeds this game badly. This team is 5-6 heading into this game and they areacutely aware of the fact they lost to Vanderbilt last year 10-14 in a brutalloss that cost the entire coaching staff their job probably. Of course that'snot all that fair as Vanderbilt was a good team last year under Franklin andthis team now has a lot of rebuilding to do. Sure, we're not huge fans thatVandy comes off losing 0-51 to Miss State who looks to bounce-back quicklyafter that loss but bear in mind that this is Tennessee last game and this teamhas to win this game in order to become bowl eligible. Missouri took care ofbusiness and they are in charge of their own destiny as the entire state ofGeorgia (except Georgia Tech fans) will be rooting on Arkansas to beat Missouriso Georgia can pick up the SEC East and have an outside shot at a top 4 playoffseed as if they win the SEC Championship, certainly, the committee will beforced to give a hard look and bumping Georgia up. But per this game, you havea Tennessee team coming off a tough loss to Missouri, one who has revenge, whoonce had massive revenge against Kentucky and routed them 50-16 as -11.5 chalkat home and now looks to do the same on the road against Vanderbilt. We likethe fact this game is in the early afternoon and Butch Davis is well aware ofthe importance of this game both to the program, in-state, with revenge and ofcourse with the Bowl eligibility on the line. Look for Tennessee to come outstrong from start to finish as the Volunteers are a solid 5-1 ATS coming off astraight up loss, 5-0 ATS when facing a team with a losing home record (meaningbeating the teams they are supposed to beat who are weaker competition who havelosing home records) and the road team is 7-2 ATS in the last 9 meetings aswell. Let's roll with Tennessee with all the motivation in the world to likelywin this contest going away.



3-Unit Play #402 Take Alabama-9.5 over Auburn (Saturday @ 7:45pm est)

Alabamacould certainly remember the voices that have haunted them in the past over andover again per this contest. If Auburn was not coming such a piss poorperformance we would consider rating this play higher but after their pooreffort against Samford they might come motivated to this game as though they donot have national implications in line, they certainly would love to put adamper on Bama's season. But you don't think Alabama is furious from the runback? Absolutely. Alabama has been preparing for this game for sometime andAuburn is not the same team as they were in years' past. Georgia took them tothe woodshed after losing to them in a late second play and now Alabama I'msure Nick Saban has that run back on loop inside the weight room. When Alabamalost to Florida in the SEC Championship, Saban famously had that game on loopin the weight room so the guys can watch Florida beating Alabama over and overwith Tebow at the helm and that motivated this team to dominate the snot out ofFlorida when they got another chance to play them. Such is the case here asAlabama will be more than motivated rolling into this contest with plenty ofrevenge in mind and though we would love to rate this higher it should be fineas Bama should likely win this contest by double-digits. Coach Malzahn is anexcellent coach but at the end of the day, the revenge angle, the fact thatAlabama is a better team defensively than Auburn is (just see the Samford game)and Auburn is lacking a lot of holes compared to years' past and a good publicfade to boot,w e like Bama to roll here by double-digits.



3-Unit Play #392 Take Georgia-12.5 over Georgia Tech (Saturday @ 12pm est)

Georgiaand Coach Richt has dominated Georgia Tech over the years. What if we tell youthat the public is on Georgia Tech plus the points here but bear in mind thatGeorgia has won 41-34 in overtime last year covering the small -2.5 number,winning 42-10 the year before covering the -14.5 number and winning 31-17 theyear prior covering the -4.5 number. In fact, Georgia has won this gamestraight up the last 9 of 10 years and UGA is 6-2-1 ATS over the last 9 timesthese two teams have hooked up. Georgia is significantly the better team andthat Florida loss really did a number on this team as it relates to motivation.Each week Richt has these boys playing well ever since that lull of a loss.That really took a beating on this coach. Since that 20-38 loss to Florida,Georgia has won 63-31 against Kentucky, 34-7 against Auburn and 55-9 againstCharleston Southern covering the number each time. And now this team faces arelatively large number against Tech but its not impossible to see this team dowell here. Note, Tech has covered 4 straight in a row to their credit but theirwin against Clemson is due for a let down as Clemson is an utter mess in theirquarterback situation. And whenever Georgia is a double-digit favorite whenthese two teams are above .500 it typically indicates that Georgia does well inthat contest as the Yellow Jackets are 0-4 ATS against the SEC and the Bulldogsare 4-1 ATS against the SEC as well.
