Before championship Sunday took place, the Seahawks would have been made around a 3 to 3.5 point favorite over the Patriots in the Super Bowl. We had some major over reaction after Seattle needed a miracle come from behind win against Green Bay and New England hammered Indianapolis in the Championship games. Much like last year, I love the fact that the line flipped to make the defending champion Seahawks the underdog in this game soon after the line was posted. The Patriots were very impressive in the AFC championship game against a Colts team that can’t run the ball or stop the run. I expect Seattle to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball in this game. The Patriots weakness is stopping the run and the Seahawks are the best rushing team in the NFL. The Patriots also have a questionable offensive line and I would be very surprised to see LeGarrette Blount or any other New England running back have a big day running the football. The Seahawks have a great secondary and nobody in the NFL can match up any better then Seattle against tight end Rob Gronkowski. The Patriots corner back Darrelle Revis might be the best cornerback in the game, but he won’t be much of a factor in this game. Seattle doesn’t have a receiver that Revis needs to lock down and he is not great at run defense on the corner. The knee jerk reaction to the Patriots AFC Championship game blowout gives us value on the defending champs even with them being favored once again, but now all they really need to do is win the game and not win it by a field goal. Also, since 1995 teams that score 40 or more points in a playoff win are just 4-25 against the spread in the following game. Play on Seattle.

This game has the 20-26 Heat at the 16-29 Celtics. Both teams are bad here and it comes down to who wants it more and I believe the Celtics have alot going for them today. Both teams have dropped 2 straight but the Celtics are at home and waiting and the Heat are off a blowout loss in Dallas and now have to fly to Boston to play early and I expect them to be ready for their day off after today’s game. Public is all over the Heat here and this line seems to be dropping. Take the Celtics to win straight and lay the juice for a 10* winner.
