BYU is one of my sleeper teams heading into the NCAAB tournament — of course, they have to make it into the tournament first. They have really been playing some good basketball as of late. Don’t let the close win over Santa Clara fool you; Santa Clara was playing their best basketball of the season coming into that matchup. BYU has excellent guard play and that is the reason I really like them moving forward. They can score in transition or in the half court set. The Cougars beat Portland twice this season by 9 points at home and 13 points on the road (later in the season). Portland has one good player down low but their guard play is not very good.
