New coach Dan Quinn has improved the Falcons. But they still a£re more finesse than brawn, vulnerable mentally and physically to the Texans. Houston is a power team. No team runs the ball more than the Texans.

I like Houston's edges in the trenches. The Falcons don't have a dominant blocker who can handle J.J. Watt. The Texans can control the line of scrimmage against the Falcons' defensive line, too.

The Texans are expecting to get back from injury this week star running back Arian Foster and left tackle Duane Brown, their best offensive lineman. Ryan Mallet is getting better as he settles into a starting role. This will be his third start in a row. Alfred Blue had a breakout performance this past Sunday and would be capable if Foster still isn't ready to play.

The Texans rank in the top 12 in yardage both offensively and defensively. The Falcons, on the other hand, rank in the bottom six in yards given up.

Atlanta could be 0-3 in which case this line would be much different.

The Falcons trailed in the fourth quarter during all three of their games. They took advantage of a sleepwalking, out of sync Eagles team at home opening week, beat a bad Giants team in Week 2 and this past Sunday were able to overcome a big early deficit to defeat Dallas, which was minus Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and several key defensive players.

The Falcons are ripe for a loss. The Texans are a bad matchup for them.

7 Unit* Play.*#270/#242 Take San Francisco 49ers +9 over Green Bay Packers (Sunday 4:25 pm FOX) TOP NFL GAME OF THE WEEK.*I always like to play home underdogs of seven or more points, and I fully expect a much better effort by the 49ers today in Santa Clara, CA. San Francisco has looked terrible in back-to-back road games, but I am a big believer that there is not much carryover from week to week in the NFL and every week is completely different. Green Bay is not the same team on the road as they are when playing at Lambeau Field, and sooner or later their injuries will catch up with them. QB Rodgers will still have his moments in this game, but I just do not see it being a rout as Green Bay struggled to put away the Bears in Week 1. Green Bay will head west on a short week, and this is a team they have not had any success against losing to San Francisco four straight times. San Francisco is 3-0 ATS in the last six years when they have been a home underdog. QB Colin Kaepernick has been awful of late, but Green Bay is a team he has had great success against, and I expect him to be able to move the football with his arm or his legs. Green Bay still does not have a good defense, and if the 49ers can hang onto the football I see this game going down to the wire. Green Bay has not won in San Francisco (Santa Clara) since 2006, and while that streak may end on Sunday, it will only come by a couple of points.

Arizona stays at home this Sunday and welcomes the St. Louis Rams to the hot desert and I see another Arizona double-digit win. The Cardinals defense has been really good and their last 2 home games the Cardinals have held opponents to an average of 13ppg. Carson Palmer is healthy and the O-Line has been protecting him and when Palmer is in a groove he is hard to beat. Last week the Cardinals were able to ran the ball and pass and if St. Louis can't keep the Cards offense off the field this game will be out of reach early and I see the Arizona Cardinals staying perfect. St. Louis is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games and the Cardinals are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 home games. The Cardinals are also 16-5 ATS following a SU win and 6-2 ATS at home against St. Louis.
