Minnesota is a pretty good team when Ricky Rubio is playing and it's been announced that Rubio will play again tonight after rejoining the lineup last night for the Wolves' upset win at Miami. It's a short trip to Orlando so the lack of rest shouldn't be an issue and my ratings favor the Magic by only 1 point. I'll take Minnesota in a 1-Star Best Bet at +5 points or more. I would have made it a higher rated play but I have some concern that Rubio's minutes could be monitored.
**UC Irvine (-4.5) over CENTRAL FLORIDA
04:00 PM Pacific Rotation: 521
UC Irvine is a good team when 7 foot 6, 300 pound center Mamadou Ndiaye is healthy and last year the Louisville Cardinals found that out in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before barely escaping with a 57-55 win. Ndiaye was injured most of last season and played in just 15 games but the struggling Anteaters made a run through the Big West Tournament after Ndiaye returned to the lineup late in the season. Irvine has opened this season with two wins by an average of 20 points and the Anteaters apply to a 20-0 ATS subset of an 83-23-2 ATS early season momentum situation. UCF should be improved this season but my ratings favor Irvine by 5 points, so this line is fair, and I’ll take UC Irvine in a 2-Star Best Bet at -5.2 points or less and for 1-Star up to -6.
**PROVIDENCE (-6 ½) over Illinois

Providence is blessed with one of the great players in teh nation in Chris Dunn, who poured in 32 points while also dishing out 5 assists, grabbing 6 rebounds, blocking 2 shots and getting 8 steals in a win over a pretty good Harvard team. The Friars won that game by 12 and covered the spread despite making just 25% of their 3-point shots while Harvard made 45% of their long range shots. That's a good omen and Providence applies to a 108-39-1 ATS early season indicator. Providence is 2-Stars at -7 or less and 1-Star up to -8.
**Toledo (-2 ½) over YOUNGSTOWN STATE

Toledo applies to a 53-7-1 ATS non-conference road favorite situation. My ratings favor Toledo by 2 1/2 points and the line dropped from 5 to 2 1/2, so the line is now fair. I'll take Toledo for 2-Stars at -3 or less based on the strong situation.
