I think the Calgary Flames are trying to replicate what they did in December and their schedule favors them to do just that. The Flames will host a Coyote team that has been playing extremely well over its last 8 games going 5-3 over the stretch. They will finish their 3 game road trip in Calgary tonight then head back home for the next 7. They have beaten the Islanders, Maple Leafs, Avalanche, Jets and most recently the Canucks. Calgary has owned this match-up winning 7 out of the last 10 but Arizona did win the last one in a 2-1 overtime game back in November. The Flames are a shocking 13-3 in their last 16 home games and I am not going to go away from them tonight. I expect the Coyotes to be looking ahead and ready to travel back home to Arizona. Look for Calgary to continue their winning ways at home tonight.

New York Islanders defenseman Johnny Boychuk got hurt a few games back and almost instantly the Islanders defense has suffered. New York has allowed an average of 42 shots per game in their last two games and have given up 5 goals in each of those two contests. They've been outshot by nearly 7 shots per game in their last 5 games overall with 4 of those 5 teams not even being playoff teams if the regular season were to end today.

The Washington Capitals fly a little bit under the public radar I feel as their arguably the best team in hockey and are currently the top ranked team in the Jeff Sagarin computer poll. They not only lead the NHL in overall points this year but also hold the largest goal differential of any team this season currently. They come in having won 10 of their last 12 games overall as well and at this price here offer nice value in this game.
