Calgary heads into its final game before the allstar break tonight looking to rebound from a disappointing road trip at home against the Preds. Since their 7 game win streak and 11 consecutive home victories in December they have fallen behind once again going 4-5-0-1 in their last ten games. This Flames team revolves around Gaudreau and are 11-2-0 in games he scores at least one goal and 10-21-3 when he fails to find the net. With that being said he seems to be more productive at home and am betting he finds the net tonight. Calgary is catching Nashville on a night where they are playing back to back on the road and may be starting Backup Carter Hunton because of the lack of success Rinne has had against the Flames. If Hunton does start he will be asked to win their fourth consecutive road game. I don't see this happening after such a close game last night against the Canucks. Take Calgary at home tonight.

I had two games circled tonight the Spurs (coming off an embarrassing lost to Golden St) and the over in the Golden St game. The total in the Warriors jumped almost 2-points overnight and tonight I see a pissed off San Antonio team at home. I told myself that if this game was -12 or less I was going to play the Spurs and yes I know the Spurs are -10 but the Spurs are 13-3 ATS following a SU loss. Home team in this series is also 8-0 ATS and the Rockets are 2-10 ATS when playing on Wednesday night

6-Unit Play. #514. Take Utah -6.5 over Charlotte (Wednesday @ 9:05p set)
We roll with the 5-Unit Selection here after the nice winner on Phoenix. Long story short here you have a Utah team that is at home and wants to win this game in a big fashion as they have revenge from losing in overtime to the Hornets earlier this year if you remember. It was a hard fought game and one in which Utah should have never lost to begin with. The final score was 119-124 in a loss in overtime. This is a team that comes off a loss tough loss to Detroit, needs a big win here at home, has revenge and faces a Charlotte team that comes off a monster win over Sacramento and a decent public fade to boot. The revenge is high here as we expect Utah to step up and play very well and likely win this contest by 9 or more points here.


College Ball Research: Small Lean on Pittsburgh here, leann Virginia Tech as Buzz Williams' team has played well against several teams at home and likely do well here as well - Louisville has Virginia on deck so could be looking ahead. Lean on Georgia Tech, lost in overtime by 1point last year and have a good amount of revenge here, Tech likely wins outright. Oklahoma State with revenge from earlier season loss but Baylor better team, no thanks on the low line. Sounds crazy, but lean on Michigan, Eddie Jordan's Rutgers is team is beyond terrible. Lean on Minnesota as they likely show up as a decent home underdog here despite not winning a conference game thus far. Lean on Auburn after terrible game against Florida, they could win outright here against Ole Miss on the road. Arkansas with massive revenge against A&M which is why the line is so low here. Definite lean on Missouri as Kentucky has Kansas on deck, but the line shot up despite the public being split on this game, so staying away.



3-Unit Play. #568. Take Utah -5.5 over California (Wednesday @ 11pm est)
We roll with Utah here as they hook up against California. We could have made this a step-out but we don't see reason to as we have won for 4 straight winning days in college ball and continue to roll here. You have a Utah team that has certainly come a long way and you have to give a lot of credit to Larry Krystkowiak as he has brought a school that was not big on Basketball into a believer - and the entire Utah Athletic Department has done very well including the success of their Football team. This is a team that lost to California earlier this year by a score of 71-58. Now, they look to get some revenge here at home. This team barely got by Washington on the road as they did not play that well but did manage to pull it off for what was a 4-unit winner for us. This is a Cal team that is 14-6 as Cuonzo really has a competent team here. This is a Cal team however though they come off a huge win over Arizona has shown lapses on the road in conference play against teams outside the top 65. Utah is a top 50 team. This is a team that is outside the top 150 in turnover percentage and on the heels of a let down with Utah with revenge, we have Utah by 8 or more here.

Inner Circle---Utah Utah can shoot the eyes out of the ball. They are making just under 50% from the field which is fantastic and 72% from the free throw line. The free throws could play an important part tonight as the Utes are expected to be ahead in the later part of the game and when fouled by Cal needing free throws to pull away for the pointspread cover. They also hit 35% of their three point shots. These are over-all season numbers which are higher when playing at home. They are 10-2 at home and enter tonight''s game having won three straight games. Cal defeated Utah in early January but are one man down and revenge will be extracted with a solid win tonight. Utah is in proper form right now and the home court is their greatest ally.

Perfect Play---Virginia TechVirginia is 9-5 at home s/u playing Louisville which is 2-3 on the road. The sportsbooks are trying to get Cardinals lovers to lay 9 points on the road. That''''s not happening tonight. North Carolina had their hands full before pulling away with a 75-70 win on Sunday playing this Virginia Tech team. Additionally, the Hokies defeated Virginia earlier this year at home. The best part about this team is they don''''t rely on one top player. They have four scorers that can put up double digits on any given night. Louisville tends to play to the level of their competition. They''''re ranked #17 but there''''s really nothing special that puts fear into their opponents. Rick Pitino doesn''''t even bring it to where you think he might out coach the competition. Virginia Tech is a solid cover getting this many points at home.
