Sac State is only 3-9 in the Big Sky and 10-13 overall.The Eagles can score and I think they light up here as well. Just shocked at the point spread in this one, They have struggled on the road but they are playing very well.

#520 UConn -2.5(-110) Greek vs #519 Southern Methodist triple-dime bet

Analysis: I was going to buy this to -2, and personally I will - but I'd rather the line we use be widely available - and if it stays or goes to -3 it's easy to buy. Anyhow, it's UConn at home essentially to win the game, which is a very similar bet to our Texas win the other night. The Huskies' two home losses this year were to Temple and Cincinnati, two teams that play better defense than SMU, and simply don't play the same style. SMU will win more with offense, which doesn't travel as well as defense, and UConn has the #1 ranked defense in the Conference - as well as the #1 interior defense, which is where the Mustangs like to work. UConn's offense had been puzzling, but the last few games at home has seemed to pick it up - shooting almost 50% from behind the are against Tulsa and scoring inside at will against ECU. This is also based on NEED. The Huskies NEED it more, since SMU has already lost to league-leading Temple, so winning the Conference Regular season is going to be tough for them. On the other hand, Uconn needs this to stay in the top four and a bye in the first round of the Conference Championship, as well as the Tournament itself. UConn is projected as a #9 seed and certainly NOT assured or getting in. And, they've still got Cincinnati AND SMU (again) on the road which makes this one almost imperative. SMU has been somewhat vulnerable to steals, UConn is very good at creating them - Nic Moore is certainly a GREAT point guard, but he's small and their SG Shake Milton IS still a Freshman. UConn should still have the advantage on the perimeter, with Gibbs being a Senior and Hamilton being 6'7". Uconn has a bunch of "bigs" to eat up space/fouls and make life harder for Ben Moore - so as long as the Huskies stay even on the glass and keep SMU from getting too many offensive rebounds, we got this. Plus, if it's down to the wire, UConn is shooting 81% from the line in the AAC. Let's not over think this one.
