The Sweet 16 round was dominated by the favorites and that has the Bookmakers cautious with the numbers they are putting up here in the Elite 8 as they know they will be getting even more action on the favorites today. Kansas is a 2.5 point favorite and honestly I don’t feel they should be the favorite here at all. In my opinion this line should of been a pick. Kansas has the rich tradition and success and the public is going to jump on them. Granted even though Villanova has been good for several years this program has yet to take that next step and because of that are not getting the respect they deserve at the betting windows. This team is for real and they can shoot the basketball as in their 3 tournament games have shot 57, 59 and 62% from the field. They are getting better while their competition has been getting tougher. Miami is a good defensive team and to shoot 62% against that team was simply amazing. This team is peaking at the right time and will be heading to the Final 4. Villanova has been a solid money maker for it’s backers going 42-27 ATS over the last 2 seasons and against non conference opponents this season they are 11-4 ATS. My numbers have Villanova winning by 5 or more.
